    Re: Problem with new Remington 700 .308 Before you do anything. Loosen the stock bolts and snug them back up. There are 2 Allen head screws on the bottom metal. Those are them. They wereprobly over tightened by who ever threaded it. Been there done that.

This shoots well in my rifle with no pressure signs in 60 degree weather will have to wait until warm weather to varify. I havnt gone higher but this is in well used hornady brass which had greater case...

    Re: What if I forget to load the propellant? I had 1. Shoved a 168 smk in my 308 into the lands. Just the wieght of my cleaning rid shoved it out. But will a 45 acp squib cycle an action? Never had one on my sig but have checked the barrel on a few occasions
