    Re: How many others do you hunt with? For bird hunting, a couple of other hunters is not bad, but I have never viewed deer hunting as a group activity. I only hunt alone.

    Re: .30-06 round on whitetail I started hunting with a 6.5x55 last year and used handloaded 120 gr Corelokt bullets. I killed 4 deer and not one took a step after being hit. That being said, don't stress over what pill you will shoot out of a 30-06, but just find one that hits where you aim.

    Re: Would like opinions on bullet For a cheap and tough bullet, it is hard to beat a Remington Corelokt. I use them almost exclusively in my 6.5x55 and 308, and I am in the process of of buying some to load for my son's 270.
