Member Link Up Anyone shoot nrl22 or mars in the York Pa area?

there are a few of us on here. I'm a series regular, @dghboy315 is the series director, @Eoddave27 and @NOMAD are also match directors and I'm sure there may be some others as well.

For MD residents .... how do you go about purchasing an AR platform rifle new?

@deersniper - honestly not trying to start a fight here or be a smart ass but i'm not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic. but yes 1261 is registration which we all know will lead to confiscation. basically going back after the HBARs now that they realize the work around we've all been...

For MD residents .... how do you go about purchasing an AR platform rifle new?

get it now at a MD based FFL. they know the rules and will have MD compliant in stock. of course if HB1261 passes it won't matter

Binos for spotting long range 22lr

@Diver160651 - i thank you for your input and wisdom above. i also quietly cuss/thank you simultaneously for making me think more when i thought i was out of the woods on my research. if i'm being honest with myself. i should just table this and just continue to borrow other people's...

Binos for spotting long range 22lr

Diver - thank you for the breakdown. i used a borrowed spotter this past year and i just don't feel like looking through a single eyepiece this year. I really want to go binos but now you've got me thinking twice. tripod wise i'm using the pig0311

Binos for spotting long range 22lr

I'm looking at getting a pair of binos for spotting. I've looked through a few 10x and they aren't very good at 200 and 300 yards. I've narrowed it down to the Bushnell Forge 15x, the Athlon Cronus 15x and Vortex Kaibab 18x. All are roughly gonna cost the same since I have a 50% off Vortex cert...

    Favorite NRL22 stage or target?

we've done the weakside off hand, shooting steel eggs at 25 yards. not the easiest thing to do. semi's will have the advantage. its hard to describe the way we shot it, i will have to look and see if i can find any video of it

    Rimfire Targets

agree 100% with you on that. tons of variables involved in this rabbit hole i am now totally sucked into. "shoot 22lr they said, its cheaper they said..." ha ha ha...

    Rimfire Targets

it does help but then also provides paralysis by analysis. you still need to have good fundamentals of marksmanship or it isn't going to matter and you will still have crappy groups with really good ammo. ask me how i know that statement...

    Favorite NRL22 stage or target?

i swear to god if that comes back this year i'm just taking the zero and walking away. not wasting any more ammo on that circus trick :ROFLMAO:

    Rimfire Targets

beat me to it. must have been typing at the same time. if you can find match ammo with single digit SD and an ES below thirty, do whatever you can to buy as much of that ammo as you can. that is unicorn dust.

    Rimfire Targets

a fair assumption would be that the higher the cost of the box of ammo, the lower the ES and SD are. that is not always true because sometimes you get a bad batch of "match grade" ammo due to the manufacturing process. i would venture to say with rimfire that ES is more important that SD. SD...

D-M Targets make a dedicated rimfire mover, here is the thread over in the rimfire section about it. http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/d-m-targets-rimfire-mover-overview.6985036/ at the end of the video it shows it set up and how it was shot during the stage

    Favorite NRL22 stage or target?

while its not NRL22 per se, we ran a rimfire mover stage at the Mid Atlantic Rimfire series last season. Hands down one of the most fun stages I shot last season.
