    Left hand AR 15

Re: Left hand AR 15 One of the reasons I like using lefty rifles is because I don't like having the port in front of my face, it just doesn't feel safe to me, I've had a round blow a primer on one of my righty bolt actions (using an uncle's handloads, never again) and had some of the gasses...

    A serious caliber choice question!!....

Re: A serious caliber choice question!!.... Cost, weight, and availability all play a factor when choosing a round. Obviously if none of these mattered, everyone would be using the 408 or 375CT, or even the 338LM, but the fact is these cartridges cost a lot more to reload and find ammo for...

    .300wm - .300wsm

Re: Loads for .300WM-.300WSM H4831 is a great powder for the 300WSM, its one of the three powders that I feel are the best powders for the 300WSM, the other two being Reloader 17 and magpro. This is just my opinion of course

Can I travel to CA with a M1A

Re: Can I travel to CA with a M1A http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf It's a little confusing, but basically if your rifle doesn't have any of these features: -pistol grip -forward pistol grip -flash suppressor -folding or collapsible stock -thumbhole stock -gernade launcher or...

    savage 4.4 action?

Re: savage 4.4 action? If you are really dedicated to getting a Savage rifle, just go over to savageshooters.com and pay for a membership, which I think is $15 a year. Then you get access to the market place and you can find plenty of Savage rifles and actions for very cheap, as well as parts...

    Accubond Long Range---PRICING

Re: Accubond Long Range---PRICING I'd buy these to try out if they retail for around $40 a box of 100, still better than what I pay for Bergers around here...

    Private NON licenced reloaders

Re: Private NON licenced reloaders See, I don't mind using other people's reloads if I know their habits and how well they load. I have a friend with a single stage reloading setup and he usually measures all of his charges and stays within the books, so when I shoot his stuff it is perfectly...

    best southpaw AR?

Re: best southpaw AR? Stag, they were the first and the best. RRA I believe is making lefty AR's, but the Stags are a better deal imo and are very accurate. I have a lefty Stag model 7H on order, can't wait until it gets here.

    6.8 or 300 blackout

Re: 6.8 or 300 blackout The 6.8 is plenty capable of killing stuff out to 500 yards, if you don't believe me go to the hunting section of the 6.8 forums, lots of guys there do it on a regular basis. There are many loads that stay supersonic out to almost 1000 yards, the SSA 140gr. Berger...

State vs State... Who would win?

Re: State vs State... Who would win? Population size would obviously play a huge role, I think that many states will be equally matched in terms of armament and skill, so it will mostly be a battle of attrition. I think that in the end, it will be down to Texas, Kommiefornia (it has the...

    can't decide

Re: can't decide Why not both? Get a Savage in 260 or 6.5CM and then get an extra barrel in a 7mm, I suggest a 7RSAUM for a short action. Then you can go back and forth whenever you like, since switching barrels on a savage is easy and takes about 5 minutes to change.

Re: lh rifle benefits??? I have two lefty bolt action rifles and a lefty AR coming soon. I spent the first 15 years of my shooting using right handed rifles until a few years ago when I got my first lefty. Can you get by shooting right handed rifles? Sure. Is shooting a lefty rifle more...

    Thompson Center Rifles vs Savage/Stevens

    Thompson Center Rifles vs Savage/Stevens

Re: Thompson Center Rifles vs Savage/Stevens Get the Savage, the TC won't ever be able to outshoot the Savage, and the Savage has the added benefit of a growing and thriving aftermarket.

    Left hand AR 15

Re: Left hand AR 15 Sure, you don't NEED a left handed AR, but when you shoot one it just feels better than shooting a right handed AR. I have a left handed 6.8 Stag on order that should be coming in any day now, and I can't wait.

    .308 Carbine vs 6.8 Carbine

Re: .308 Carbine vs 6.8 Carbine I love the 6.8, I think it would be great in a SHTF situation since you can pack it light and hold more ammo compared to a 308, but I would go with the 308 based on ammo availability alone. A FAL would be a great choice, or an M1A.
