    Yes definitely. I learned that day the gadgets didn't help that guy at all. My respect goes to the very few guys who can shoot a match with nothing but 1 bag and a bipod and don't need all the rest of it.

    I'm relatively new to long range shooting but have been shooting all my life. I shot my first prs match last September and the first thing I noticed was a vast majority were using way more equipment than I thought was needed. Shooters were running arca rails with barricade stops ,2 or 3 bags...

    I got the RCBS swage die set. I'm gonna give it a try. I have 300 rounds of Winchester factory unprimed brass I'm going use for matches. But I figured I don't want to use it up for training ammo. Also I have around 1500 pieces of once fired crimped brass. I figured I Might as well use it.

    Any updates on this thread. Live in Kentucky but have been thinking about trying to do some hog hunting in Florida Georgia or maybe Texas. Will probably be Florida since I have family in north Florida.

    Biggest I've shot so far is a Winchester 70 in 375 h&h I had and I really enjoyed it. Sold the rifle to finance my prs rifle and have regretted it ever since. I will definitely be getting another 375h&h again when funds permit. Probably a sako 85 kodiak.

    Agree. I've got a 4-14x56 moar on a sako 85 varmint and fov sucks compared to my leupold vx5hd 3-15. However I have a 4-14x50 f1 on a dd5v1 that I'm really happy with. That said for a hunting scope I would go leupold vx5hd again.

    Factory remington 700

    Besides the flimsy stocks the only complaint I have with Remington is the xmark trigger. I've got 4 laying around that I've either adjusted myself or had adjusted and they still aren't anything to brag about. That said I've felt much worse in factory rifles.
