I built an Ar-10 from JP parts in 6.5 creedmore and it is the most accurate rifle I own. Hard to run suppressed but with the gas almost no recoil so staying on target for multiple rounds makes lots of bullets fly through the same ragged hole.
I went with the 85 as I pack it with me, I have never really needed any more but have often wondered if I should have gone bigger. That usually stops after I pack it for a few miles, then I am content with 85. You will love it whichever way you go.
Many great brands above, I do know that Buffalo Trace is made at the same distillery as Pappy, and it is smooth. I give it a thumbs up for all my best pals here on the hide.
I believe I have a M77 stock I will give you if you want it, it came off my 30-06 when I moved it to a v block a few years back, likely fit like a glove. Let me know if you want it and I will send you an early Xmas present for all the trouble you have had lately.
Nice first post 4 years later... I am happy you are alright, I have been there with a pistol and gladI walked away with all my parts intact,it can be a butt puckering experience for sure.
What was the load, I will dial it up on quick load and see just how close you came to meeting Jesus.
Ive never seen a laser on a spotting scope but I would assume it is to line up the scope as it is sometime hard to find your target through the scope without a secondary pointer\sighter. no issue with a cosing on a scope if you want it.
