Hunting & Fishing Latest Africa Hunt - 2013

I was going to say that looks like a Heym (Safari addition). I'm looking at picking one up myself. Very nice rifle for the money. The funny thing about good wood is those who know the good sawyers keep them under their hat and everyone else gets raped by the larger companies out their...

Hunting & Fishing Latest Africa Hunt - 2013

Very nice post!!! That looks like one hell of a hunt. All the animals are REALLY nice. I'm curious on how wide that Buffalo is. I didn't see that in there. He looks about 42" and oooold. Did I mention the 1st waterbuck........that guy is a MONSTER.

    Hunting & Fishing California Muledeer

I'm no expert but that deer looks like a cross. Do you guys have many whitetail up there? I know they can cross breed.

The latest 375 H&H Safari rifle

Yeah those darn Eland are fast. It's crazy how fast they can cover ground! We were after that one for a few miles. This stock will be a standard stock. No Mannlicher this go around. I don't have the wood yet. He is still deciding what he wants.

    Our first Badger 2013 action

This was a 300 WM for a soldier on the west coast. Broughton 7.2 contour barrel, 1-10 twist, 24" finish.

The latest 375 H&H Safari rifle

I've been meaning to get this one off the ground but we've been swamped. I finally got rolling on it this week. I'll try to keep you guys posted as we go. I pulled down all our Facebook stuff because I just haven't had much time since our little Hannah arrived. Only time for so much in a...

    Our first Badger 2013 action

Well we finally put together our first Badger 2013 action and I figured I'd give a little review. At first when I looked at it I didn't care for the new cuts. Cosmetically I liked the M2008. After a while it started to grow on me a little though. It's just a visual deal but with...

Hunting & Fishing Clean slate elk rifle build

Tons of elk are killed every year by 30-30's. That being said I would go the 300 WM route. When you see how fast they cover ground you'll know you need to hit them hard and well. I shot my first elk with a 308. 400 yards and in I would feel really confident on making an easy kill with the...

Hunting & Fishing Successful Dall sheep hunt... My new GAP scores!

I think this post just made my neck swell up. That's some gorgeous scenery. There is no experience like proper preparation for a hunt. Waiting on the perfect rifle you dreamed of, the brown truck dropping of that rifle, taking her to the range and ironing out the details and last but not...

Gunsmithing Please help, first build...barrel channel inletting question...

If the stock gets too thin on the sides it will chip easily on the edges. The Remington classic is a standard hunting stock. Anything larger than a 3 or 4 just won't look right. Move to a larger forend like the varmint models if you want a larger barrel in it and a hunting style stock. You...

Gunsmithing Durability of hydro dipping a rifle stock?

Keep this in mind. A coating is only as strong as what's underneath for the most part. It will all scratch but unless you are working it hard you should have no major issues to speak of. One other thing is choose a reputable company to do it. I've seen some cheaper jobs that it didn't appear...

Hunting & Fishing The big dawgs are coming out!

They are both equally exciting but they both can be a pain if you can't catch them right. Wait til the permit turns sideways on you. It's hard to believe that fish can pull like that. It's like trying to pull a disk through the water.

    Yeah that should work fine.

NEW Fat Bastard in 18x1 and 18x1.5

It needs to be installed by a qualified gunsmith. We don't use nor recommend crush washers on a precision platform.

This is how it is done... (I just have to brag)

Very nice! Wait until they start beating you. My wife did that in a little unsupported match we had last year. She walked around like a peacock for a month.

NEW Fat Bastard in 18x1 and 18x1.5

No but I have something better coming. We made a brake for all the factory guys so they can take it on and off easily. I haven't released it just yet but it's coming.

NEW Fat Bastard in 18x1 and 18x1.5

I just wanted to let you guys know that we have add the Fat Bastard brakes in 18x1mm and 18x1.5mm. We had enough request that we decided to go ahead and run a batch of them. We have them all in stock now. We are trying to grow and expand the line as much as possible to support what you guys...
