    Re: howa m1500 in 308 I'm not saying you need a new barrel, just that it shouldn't cost that much to shorten it, and it should shoot about the same after; but I wouldn't invest a lot of money in the factory barrel. These rifles usually shoot fine for a factory sporter type rifle. TC
