Case life of Norma 6XC brass?

I was just reading the document on Tubb's website where they mention that the case head on the Norma brass is extra hard for improved case life. Can anyone comment on whether they have found this to be the case in actual practice over multiple firings? I have 200 Norma cases, but only have very...

    Polarized prescription shooting glasses?

If you are reading ballistic data off a phone app or pda, you probably wont be able to see the screen through polarized lenses.

    Left hand KRG Bravo conversion

I think all the T3 version KRG stocks can be modified this way. My only experience is with the X-Ray, but I believe the Whisky could be modded this way too.

PRS Talk Carrying equipment at a match

Just wondering what people are using to hump all their gear around at a PRS match? What size packs are useful? I am trying to work out what to buy and where to draw the line regarding size of the pack.

    Gunsmithing Switch barrel system

Barrel vice suggestion is by far the best option. I use one to swap barrels at the range all the time. Very easy to use - a 6" long vice, a set of G claps and a wrench.

Nice. How did you lap the lugs - and how much contact were you able to get?

Hunting & Fishing Long shots on game - what are people resting off?

Guys, I know this is not indicative of much, but I just happened to watch Long Range Pursuit episode 18 last night (video here LRP Ep18 Long Range Competition in Utah on Vimeo) and it prompted a couple of thoughts I'd like to run past you. In the competition sequence, the 2 shooters profiled...

Anyone have any experience with .308 BAER?

I had a 308 Baer benchrest competition rifle, and made a hunting rifle with the same reamer so I could use my old match brass for hunting. I have shot a lot of game with it and really like the round. As noted, there are many versions of the 300 Wby improved case. I did a lot of research over...

Hunting & Fishing Long shots on game - what are people resting off?

I am interested to hear what people are using for shooting positions and rest equipment for long range hunting shots. It would also be interesting to know a ballpark range for shots people are making as I think it helps understand how effective the set-up is, and of course what constitutes "long...

    Allen Precision Painkiller Brake

I have one on a 308 Win to make it shootable for my son. It is very effective, bringing recoil down to roughly a 243, or a little less. And Kirby is good to deal with. I would recommend the PK brake without hesitation.

    Room to improve stock design?

Thanks for the comments. I did look at making a chassis system, but in the end I believe my approach to a composite design can be more broadly applied to the precision shooting sports disciplines (ie benchrest, F Class, Tactical - same materials and manufacturing processes, albeit with different...

    Room to improve stock design?

Thanks again. Understand where you are coming from. Regarding flush cups or swivels for slings, I would prefer to have a set up that is free of any impediment to sitting the but of forend on a bag for those that want to shoot fully rested, especially off the bottom of either surface. And that...
