    ? if AMP annealing problems

Zombie says thanks. I've been annealing with the ranges AMP and noticed some on the inside of the necks. I don't like SS media, so I will most likely brush out the oxide after annealing.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Glad to help my ARC spinners. What powders do you have to use? Did you get the HTs, VLDs or BTTs?

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Thanks for the options on stocks. I will look into them. In other new Precision Reloading has a lot of Berger 105 bullet styles in stock, I just grabbed 500 105 VLD targets. I had been holding out for another big box of bergers, finally happened... they have 100 counts in stock too.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Any Rear Bag Rider Stock suggestions? I got this stock for another lightweight build but looking for more of a DMR rider style. Still want to keep somewhat portable. I would fill the bottom pick rail with a slide, but there is no cheek riser on this one.

    6.5 Creedmoor

When I started 6.5 loadings I found a sweet node with 143ELDx @ 2550 and still load it actually. I have some other high vel loads, but the bulk of what I shoot are fairly slow and I just rainbow them in. A bit comforting on a hot range day, and its good to know you have a tad more capacity to...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

little surprise showed up Friday afternoon. Got it mounted and to the range today! I shot a 600 match with 6ARC, and then tested this bebe out to 1250! started at zero 100/200, then held reticle elevation out to 300, then used the base elevation adjustments to 45MOA to get to 1250 with my...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Man, that's awesome - Way to hold with the bolts! I didn't fare so well today in the local 600 match. May have been my ammo/wind. I thought I grabbed my match ammo and it happened to be the slower BTs that may not have had the best vel. consistency - just plinking ammo. I got to anneal 250...

    6.5 Creedmoor

I got some hits on the 1250 plate for the first time today. I was shooting the Barnes 140 Matchburners at 2700. Strelock Pro had overestimated the elevation I would need for those rounds, but I'm sure it was more my fault for bad/missing input. I started at 100 and went to 1k, and confirmed my...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

Glass is here, but ivey base will be next week. I have a 600 match tomorrow so will be running the poverty pony. My range has 4x4 lg plates and 12"x12" center plates at each yardage so MOA references are somewhat not-difficult. for the scope, at 24x, the hashes are 1MOA and at 48x it is .5MOA...

6.5 CM for mile - 123 Flatlines - load dev

wow, thats legit, thx for sharing. My plinker/hunting loads are 143 ELDX @2550, but I only have a few of them left. I just saw that Valdada released a chassis system-drool. Just for fun my Ruger MKIV pistol upper came it yesterday. It is a full 16.5" long with pic rail over/under and a 4-12 BDC...

6.5 CM for mile - 123 Flatlines - load dev

I'm working up to 1760 yds. I've been shooting/reloading 6.5 for 5 years now, all on the RAP (poors yippie). I'm wondering which brass to use for the shot at a mile. I have a set of Starline 1X fired Lg primer and a set of NEW Starline Sm Primer on the way now. I would try others like pedersen...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

Sightron SIII 10-50 MOA-1 ordered and should be here next week. The Flatline Bullets showed up today. I spoke to my LR mentor and he said there are a couple better choices for 6.5 bullets but I cant remember the name of them ATM. But that is all based on his big bullets 33XC I think.

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

I have some FL123 bullets on the way now. it says backorder, but was shipped out fast. Their load data and RL16 or 26 is one of the fastest speeds and I think it can get a MV of 3000-3100 which should stay supersonic to around 1600 yds, I'm not sure if it will stretch super to the mile though...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

Yes, I get that most people like FFP scopes and I know why, I just like weird shit and different style of thinking. I also like to be told something can't or shouldn't be done and then trying it anyway to see how/why. For instance - I also have a penchant for fixed power scopes where most...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

I don't like how the FFP scopes cover the target on high zoom. I like seeing the bulletholes i'm aiming at - thus I prefer SFP. I will have dope cards for the distances that I shoot and they will include inches/MOA conversion at that distances/zoom. So for your example if someone told me 6MOA...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

yeah, that's why I was asking about mirage. I've had it happen some with another 20x scope but it was bearable most of the time actually. I may go more to the 32x but like you mentioned, I would like to use this as a spotter some too. My only optic above 24 right now is a spotting scope and I've...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

So in the meantime I'm going to research on work up some loads that will stay supersonic, and also other heavier ones that might be better for trans sonic. As far as the Scope goes I do prefer the Second Focal Plane scopes, but I have a question about mag and mirage. Shooting 1 mile what mag...

    6.5 Creedmoor for a mile?

Sweet Zombie thread that was revived in May... I'll jump in this too... I will soon be attempting >1k with a 6.5. Just ordered an Ivey Base. In the meantime I'm going to do some prep dope estimations for 1250 (my ranges max) and hopefully mile with this rifle. I've shot 1k a few times with it...

Sweet, thanks for the feedback guys. I was a bit unsure at first, but they said they shipped around 300 units last years so something is going right. pics when it happens.
