    I'm not a huge fan of vmax. Go with a nosler ballistic tip, if you're reloading. Thicker jacket, and less splashes. But if you're set on vmax, I would pick the 60gr.

    I was going to order more from them, if this barrel turned out good. But after this incident, I won't buy anything else from them. I ended up ordering two prefits from preferred barrels instead. Hopefully they turn out better than mcgowen.

    My buddy has spent 3 years trying to get this buck on my property. His patience and persistence finally paid off. And what makes it an even bigger accomplishment is I only own 26 acres, and he killed him with a recurve.

    It definitely has to be the right conditions and location. We have went down in southwest ks and killed 11 by mid afternoon, then the next year only kill a couple.

    It's definitely possible, with good shooting and a lot of stands. But my first guess would be night hunting.
