Rifle Scopes whats closest to m40a1 scope ?

Re: whats closest to m40a1 scope ? A cheaper option than a Unertl or USO MST-100 ... how about a USO ST-10 with EREK knob? I'd even consider a S&B PMII 10x42.

    Rifle Scopes nf 5.5-22+butler creek=strange.

Re: nf 5.5-22+butler creek=strange. Lol. #1 gripe re: NF scopes ... if this thing weren't a sporter rig where I want a sleeker/lighter profile, I would not keep my F1. I use two velcro straps on front and back like this:

Rifle Scopes My S&B Scope Experience

Re: My S&B Scope Experiance The old phone book trick. Grip it like a club & give it a good whack against something solid like a phone book and the dirt will shake free & stick to the grease inside. Or mount and shoot it and the recoil should do the same.

Rifle Scopes Help me pick an optic please.

Re: Help me pick an optic please. I'm a whore for German glass but played with lots of others. Just sold my USO 1.8-10x44 GAP ERGO EREK, which is heavier than the NF F1 btw. Sold my PR 3-15 a while ago. Still have a NF F1 on my 6.5x47 practical sporter and keeping it that way cause the...

    Rifle Scopes Mounting options questions

Re: Mounting options questions Redirt, do you still have those Badger rings? If yes, would you mic them? Looking at the pic, those look like 1.25" rings to me. 1.125" rings should be 0.53" from rail to bottom of scope. 1.25" ring should be 0.66".

Rifle Scopes Scope Adjustments are opposite!!! What the hell..

Re: Scope Adjustments are opposite!!! What the hell.. I'd finger f**k the gun a bit to check for set up issues... - Did you properly bed & screw the base to the action? - Are rings torqued properly to base? My buddy removed the scope from his rifle last week and forgot to re-tighten them to...

Rifle Scopes Scope Adjustments are opposite!!! What the hell..

Re: Scope Adjustments are opposite!!! What the hell.. Yes, cranking elevation 'up' causes the reticle to move 'down'. Step back for a second to visualize -- reticle is lower, so you have to bring the rifle muzzle higher to center it on your target, thus aiming upward for long distance...

Rifle Scopes Heavy scope on light weight rifle??

Re: Heavy scope on light weight rifle?? I just tested a 31-oz F1 on a 7-lb sporter this weekend. It's mounted in 0.87" rings and still feels 'handy' and very balanced. Mine is a mild recoiling 6.5x47 and not a 30-06. Highly recommend the Limbsaver pad (template 10011 or 10112) if you don't...

    Rifle Scopes Mounting options questions

Re: Mounting options questions My roommate has had a POF P308 for 2 years. The tall rail has proven standard 1.4-1.5" AR mounts to be unuable unless you want a chin weld -- everybody who has looked through scopes in LaRue LT104 and GG&G Accucam mounts has agreed -- not a single person liked...
