Where are you finding .22 Match?

I got tired of waiting for it to pop up as available on web sites, so I just put it on backorder at Bruno's who sells just about all the match grade .22 ammo. Sometimes it comes in a month later, and sometimes four months later. I've been doing this for over a year now, so I no longer have a...

Which bolt action .22 to go with

CZ 455 or an Anschutz MPR. Buy 455 cheap and spend a lot of money, or buy Anschutz MPR and be done. Best of luck. BTW, I have both, and love them both for different reasons.

Gunsmithing New custom. Extractor mark on brass rim???!

Not really. Can be done with special tools, however most people don't have them. Just send it back, or pay a small amount to one of the good guys here to do you right, and let it be water under the bridge. The builder already sounds like he's in denial that he failed somewhere.

Gunsmithing New custom. Extractor mark on brass rim???!

That's because the extractor doesn't have to get over the rim of the brass while clearing the edge of the counterbore in the barrel.

Gunsmithing New custom. Extractor mark on brass rim???!

I also agree that this may be your problem. If it is, the barrel will have to come off in oder to enlarge the bolt nose recess diameter. The smith that built the rifle should have done all of this before final assembly. All of this is of course if this is indeed your problem. Kind of hard to...

    WHat trigger for CZ455 PT?

I too am a big fan of Timney triggers, but in my 455 I have a yo-Dave. It has worked perfectly from day one, and now my daughter shoots the rifle. I have it set at 1.5 lbs, and we haven't had any A.D.'s in about 2000 rounds.

Gunsmithing What size media for bead blasting?

I have never heard the word mesh to describe the grit on blasting media, sorry. Go somewhere else if they can't tell you what's equal to the grit you want.

    Gunsmithing Let's talk Credit Cards

I don't think some of you get it. You're paying the 1 to 3% automatically anytime you buy from retailers that take credit cards wether you pay with cash or credit. It's worked into the price. Retailers can't afford to pay it for you, and they take the loss.

    Gunsmithing Let's talk Credit Cards

This is exactly how I was treated. If anyone offers me a 3% savings for buying with cash, I take it. CC company's get paid by the retailer, and the consumer who use them. I'm not saying I don't use them, but they get the least from me as possible.

Louisiana Precision Rifles - 6mm Creedmoor

Great looking rifle!! That's typical of what you can expect from William Roscoe. That is one of the only stocks I haven't own, but would really like to one day. Thanks for posting it.

    Gunsmithing Let's talk Credit Cards

Let me tell you why they charge the 1 to 3 percent for using a credit card. That is what the credit card merchant charges him or her. They are actually giving you a break if you use cash. When you buy things at a store and don't use your credit card, the store makes more profit. Retailers add...

    Gunsmithing 6.5 Creadmore

He's not the only one that it's happened to. It's an honest mistake, and really not a big deal if everything else is as it should be. Same happened to me, and here's what happened. I use stencile's with an etching machine. I placed the order for the Creedmoor caliber verbally over the phone. The...

Help with Choosing a Long Range Precision Rifle

If you're looking for a factory out of the box rifle with money not being a problem, then I would go AI. If you want a custom built rifle, then I agree with the above suggestion of Mark Gordon at Short Action Customs also. As far as glass is concerned, S&B is a very good choice. If you're not...

Gunsmithing Engraving depth after Cerakoting being an issue?

Need a high end rifle recommendation!

Just like others have already said. If you have 6K to spend on a rifle, screw factory, and have one of the many well know smiths build you a custom. You can choose the stock, barrel contour/twist rate, trigger, brake, colors for your finish, reamer, and so on. APA, Short Action Customs, LA...

    Why No 30 06

I don't know about all the history stuff all that well. I just like to screw them together, and gotta say, I love my 30-06. BTW, I do have, and have had a lot of other calibers to compare, but there's just something special about this one for me. Not saying its the best caliber by any means...

New 1000 yard range in Ocala Florida

A good friend of mine opened a new training facility in Ocala, Florida which includes a 1000 yard range. I have no idea how he plans to market it, but for now we just come up with a group of six to eight shooters, and give him a call. He provides the range, and spotters. He has gas powered golf...

    Gunsmithing Rifle Bedding Video

Good gorilla, I looked up you're location in Florida, and I saw that you're very close to Ocala. I don't know if you have a place to shoot to 1000 yards, but a very good friend of mine opened an awesome training facility in the sticks which includes a 1000 yard range with steel at every 100...
