Rifle Scopes Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes

Re: Best Pricing on NightForce Scopes I don't see it as much as I used to see it but some dealers will offer free shipping or free rings or free ballistic software with a scope purchase. Other than the free shipping I haven't seen any other deals in last few months. Maybe NF stopped the...

    Rifle Scopes front focal nightforce

Re: front focal nightforce Two questions: 1. Will the price go out the roof? 2. Will it be available in MOA? I was just about to order another 5.5-22 NPR1. This has got me wondering if I need to hold off. O.K. maybe three questions because I figure you might not be able to answer the...

Range Report Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono

Re: Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono Thanks for the info. Do you remember which LED's you used? How many of these can be wired in series? I like the camera trick. Will they show up in the camera in broad daylight?

Range Report Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono

Re: Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono I read that the CED IR light is not visible to the human eye. This may be a stupid question but how in the crap do you know if the lights are working or not? Jumper where did you get the LED's from.

Hunting & Fishing Berger VLD bullets for hunting

Re: Berger VLD bullets for hunting Killed a doe today using a 6.5 140 Berger. She was a little over 100 yards and the shot just missed the shoulder. She ran about 40 yards. There was no exit wound or blood trail. This is the first deer I have had run with this bullet. How this deer ran is a...

    Rem Sendero 22-250 75gr A-Max

Re: Rem Sendero 22-250 75gr A-Max All the 22-250's that I have dealt with have shot up to 55 grain bullets very well with 1 in 14 twist. 60 grain bullets would shoot in most of them but usually not as good as the lighter bullets. Usually anything over 60 grain will not shoot well in a 1 in 14...

    Gunsmithing release agents

Re: release agents I ran out of release agent a few years ago and all I had around the house was some paste Turtle wax. I tried it and I haven't used anything else since then.

    Gunsmithing raceway, lug, bolt dia.

Re: raceway, lug, bolt dia. Get a Borden action with the "Borden Bumps" and you will have what you are looking for. The bumps ride in the race ways and don't interfere with clearances while cycling the bolt. When the bolt is closed the bumps take out almost all of the clearance.

    Redding 3BR Powder measure

Re: Redding 3BR Powder measure I use the Redding BR3 with a home made drop tube with a baffle in the end of it. I drop a slightly light charge straight into the pan of my 10-10 scale and then top if off with a vibrashine trickler. I can load faster than a chargemaster using this method. I am...

Range Report Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono

Re: Artificial light for a CED M2 chrono ReaperDriver I was wanting to ask the same question. I am wondering how bright the lighting would have to be. I was wanting to make something that would run off of 12 volts so that power could be supplied from any vehicle. I wonder if something like...

Rifle Scopes MOA or MIL for hunting and general shooting???

Re: MOA or MIL for hunting and general shooting??? I have used both and I like the MOA setup better. Every body keeps talking about MOA being a bastard system because of the inconsistencies between manufacturers. Let me tell you that just because it is a Mildot doesn't mean that its always...

    Gunsmithing Get Pillars installed...or DIY?

Re: Get Pillars installed...or DIY? I make and use my own pillars. I like to fit my pillars so that the bottom metal is a perfect fit to the action before action is ever bedded. Attach the pillars to the action and glue the pillars in and bed it all at one time.

Mounting A Bin Under A Bench To Catch Brass

Re: Mounting A Bin Under A Bench To Catch Brass I have screws all along the front side of my bench for hanging paint buckets. Re: Hey Guys I need some help with Redding dies.... If you are planning on feeding the ammo from a mag then go .003" under. If you are single feeding on the bench then you can go with as little as .001". Unless you are trying to get benchrest accuracy out of a gun I doubt you will ever see...

Help w/ Inconsistent OAL when seating 308 rounds.

Re: Help w/ Inconsistent OAL when seating 308 rou I don't care what brand of bullets that you use you will see some variation in length when measuring to the tip of the bullet. Like others have said buy a comparator and you will usually only see a .002" max difference in length when...
