    Redding Instant Indicator ?

When using the Redding instant indicator on multiple calibers do you have to buy a indicator for each caliber or can you just buy the bushing?

I've just been tightening front to rear. It's the way I saw Nick doing it in the video so I figured it was the way to go.

Has anyone measure the chamber length on a 16" .308 Covert barrel? I'm thinking it is around 2.950 ish. Haven't broke down and got a gauge for measuring yet.

    That feeling...

Oh yeah it is a great feeling. I've kind of rekindled that feeling recently by starting to cast my own lead bullets. With all the brass/lead I've collected over the years I only pay for the primer and powder. I pay around .05 cents a round for 9mm :D. Enjoy, there's tons of different rabbit...

    Anyone here cast lead?

Thanks for the intel. I forgot I had asked those questions in the OP. Since I started this thread I have built things up a bit. I ended up going with a turkey frier and a cast iron dutch oven for smelting. Done a couple thousand pounds in it so far and it has worked well. As far as having hard...

I don't see the point of getting a fixed power or an ACOG. There are so many better options out there in the same price range. If it was a budget issue I'd probably look for a used Leupold 3.5-10x40. It's in the same price range(or less) and you would have your 3.5x at the low end of the...

    LETS SEE your reloading setup

It isn't the most organized setup in the world but I have a system and it works pretty well. Casting setup in the garage: 2000lbs of dirty lead waiting to be smelted and cleaned, urghhh...

Load 175 SMK from 2.800 to 2.820, dangerous?

Unless you crimped them you could always set the seating die to 2.800 and run them through again. My go to powder charge for 178gr/175gr bullets is 44.5grs of Varget. On my FNH PBR I seat to 2.845 and haven't had any issues. I've done the same and had any pressure signs on it either. Of course...

I would think you might get a more complete burn with the faster powder in the shorter barrel. I have cut down barrels in the past and had to move to a faster powder to get velocity up.

    Anyone here cast lead?

Scored a couple thousand pounds of lead the other day for 10 cents a pound, woot!. I also got some Lee molds back from a machinist friend of mine today. I had him drill and tap a hole leading to the pivot screw for a set screw. I've found that the sprue plate on my Lee molds likes to be fairly...

    DTA or custom .300wm

If I was you I'd look for a used DTA rifle. That's what I did about 6 months when I scored a gen 1 DTA SRS. There really isn't that much difference from the gen 1 rifles and the newer ones. The only thing is that they use a different barrel extension(which DTA still makes and supports). It...

THANK YOU SIR! Just got your text, and responded. I really appreciate all the help. You guys are AWESOME. Also, if there's anything I can do with the Fedex thing please let me know(or have Ryan or Josh let me know). I've corresponded with Fedex the past couple days describing the package and...

Dillon 550 question and headspace confusion

I just did some tonight on mine. The way I adjust the trimmer is to adjust the die first and the put a FL sized/trimmed piece of brass in the die and screw in the trimmer until the blade barely contacts the mouth of the case. Be sure to check to see that there is space between the blade and the...

LOL okay tough guy, easy to call people names from behind a computer screen. You obviously have shit for brains and are unable to comprehend anything previously posted in regards to this issue. Either way, I'm done with you. Go nip at some else's ankles.

I've been looking at Spearpoint and have actually corresponded with Steve a couple times. i really wish they had some heavier steel. I will probably get my own heavy gauge targets at some point and maybe they'll let me bring them and use them. A friend and I also found another spot but it's...
