    F T/R Competition New to F Class / Introduction

Another VA shooter here, and one that just started shooting long distance / F-Class matches last year. I'm always on the lookout for places to shoot, but the best I've found thus far is this club www.peacemakernational.com which is just north of Winchester. They run matches fairly regularly...

Suppressors AAC Cyclone: Observations or Commentary

I never said the Cyclone wasn't a good can, I'm very happy with mine, but my TRG is a .25 MOA rifle without the can and a .5 MOA rifle with it on. When I bought the Cyclone I didn't own the TRG or any other precision rifle for that matter. Now that I do own a rifle capable of .25 MOA I'm...

Accuracy International AIAW vs. Sako TRG-22 - My Experience with Both

Great Review! I've never had the pleasure of getting behind an AIAW, but everything you said about the TRG is spot on and I agree 100%. I love mine.

Sako TRG-22 10mm Cheek Piece Screw Lentgh

I don't have a thread pitch gauge, but using calipers on mine it looks like a M6x1 45mm long. The manual lists it as a M6 x 45. If you have one of those small town hardware stores that have one of everything ever made under the sun but you're out of luck if you need two, I would start there.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor 5-20 Users

I agree 100%. I've gone through several eye doctors before I found one that can deliver the right Rx every time and that uses a quality lab for the lenses. When you start stacking multiple lens elements they magnify each others imperfections, add in my glasses that are not "matched" to the...

Suppressors AAC Cyclone: Observations or Commentary

I have a Cyclone and am pleased with it. I would have probably been better served by a TBAC 30P-1 but I wasn't into precision shooting when I bought it. It does a great job for what I needed at the time, sound suppression is great, POI shift is consistent and repeatable on every rifle I've put...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor 5-20 Users

I understand where you are coming from, but there is a method to my madness. I'm fairly new to the long range rifle world and I recognize I don't know what I don't know. Last year comps showed me shortfalls in my current setup and I want to address some of them before the comp season starts...

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor 5-20 Users

Thanks guys, I was fairly certain it is a fine optic, and I've read the reviews pros and cons. Just wanted to see if the cons were bad enough to cause someone buyers remorse.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor 5-20 Users

I plan to sell the PST, add about $1,400 and upgrade now, then repeat as budget permits till I get to the S & B .

Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor 5-20 Users

I'm in the market to upgrade my optics and have a $2k budget looking for a FFP MIL/ MIL solution. The Razor 5-20 is looking real strong for the features vs price point. So if you have used / purchased the Razor would you do it again or would you consider other options? This is for a do it all...

    Making .300 blk from .223

Re: Making .300 blk from .223 I use a Redding Trim Die and RCBS Extended Shell Holder in my single stage press. One swipe with a fine tooth hacksaw lops off the top and it's all set for the Dillon trimmer. It's very fast.

    New Lapua 308 palma brass.

Re: New Lapua 308 palma brass. The info in the German Salazar link above says it all. If it's all you can find they will work, but IMO it's more of a headache than it's worth because most 308 dies use a decap pin that is larger than the flash hole in these cases. Also small rifle primers...

    Sako TRG-22 Stuck Bolt

Re: Sako TRG-22 Stuck Bolt I had a similar issue with my TRG. I don't remember the round count after cleaning and before failure, but the problem was caused by a dirty chamber. My TRG seems to have a minimum spec chamber. Brass just doesn't seem to stretch much at all in that rifle. I now...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns XDS Review

Re: XDS Review I love my XDs. Cool that springfield released a 9 mm option at the SHOT show. Would love to try that one as well, but I don't think I will be replacing the 45 anytime soon.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Thin Carry Pistol

Re: Thin Carry Pistol I love my XDs, can't say enough good things about it. If you are not in a hurry I would hold out to see what Springfield Armory brings to the SHOT show later this month. There seems to be a fair amount of chatter that they may be releasing a similar pistol chambered in...

    .308 subs: hunting rounds?

Re: .308 subs: hunting rounds? I starting subsonic hunting this year to help a landowner. My hunting buddy and I have shot 12 whitetails thus far this year. We are using the Outlaw State Bullets 210 gr expanding subsonics with Trailboss powder. Shot placement is key at subsonic...

Rifle Scopes Any issues with Vortex Tracking?

Re: Any issues with Vortex Tracking? I have the Vortex PST 4-16. Tracks perfectly and the clicks match the reticle. Shot to 1069 YDS last weekend, dialed for elevation, First round hit.

    Gunsmithing Are all actions machined?

Re: Are all actions machined? MIM can be very precise, G5 makes an archery broadhead, the Montec this way. The threads are not machined, they are cast in the process.
