    Re: Short barrel 308 guys. Trued rem with ptg bolt, 308 match chamber, barrel is 18.5 4 groove 10 twist krieger with sf brake. Havent shot groups with it other than 100 yards but stacks bullets on steel at 4-550 yds.

    Any of you guys with 18-20 inch barrels, getting over 2600 fps with 175s or 178s???? Right now im pushing 178s with 44gr of varget at 2525, slight flat primer. Thinking if i should go up another half to one grain.

    Re: Stock packs I use either the tac ops or triad stock pouches with the external ammo loops. The pouch is useful for pens, note pad, calculator, hex keys and other tactical treats.

    Re: Surgeon 591 or Bat Tatical Action? +1 on the BAT. Just picked mine up a few weeks ago (243) locks up tight and the bolt is as smooth as butter. You can run the bolt as fast as you want and it wont bind up at all.

    Re: Recommend a good thigh holster No need for it unless youre wearing plates. If so, safariland 6004 take the top strap off and run it up as high a possible, when i use mine the strap is almost touching my sack. Make sure u wear it slightly in front of your thigh. If not, good luck trying...
