    Thanks for the reply. I just picked up the raffle today and finger banged it just a bit. I put one of My Vortex scopes and a bipod on the front. I have some M118 clone rounds I will load up and get some rounds down range on Thursday.

    Will that ammo fit into a go gage? Any other ammo tried?? If it won’t chamber FGMM, get in touch with DD customer service for them to fix it.

    Interested in how the rifle functions with 168 FGMM and clones unsurpassed. I do understand that a lot of the parts are proprietary on the rifle, but it’s intended purpose is a hog blaster that needs to shoot minute of pig.

    I have an oppertunity to purchase a LEO buy back DD M5 with 16" barrel for $1500. Rifle looks like it has plenty of weapons rack and trunk wear, but visable wear on the BCG and charging handle looks like less than 1500 rounds through the weapon at a estimate. What do you think??

    6.5 Creedmoor in AR

    I second the opinion on the adjustable gas block. I would also go with a JP silent captured spring. I built a 6.5 creedmoor upper for an AR10 lower. Rifle is about 8.5 lbs with out bipod, scope, and ammo. Rifle is a hammer with 18” barrel.

    6.5 Creedmoor

    From an AR10 with 18” Criterion SS barrel. 130 grain Sierra Game Changer Hornady Brass CCI BR 2 primers IMR 4471 43.1 grain charge Loaded to 2.790” oacl 13 of 15 rounds hitting 3/4 scale silhouette steel target at 750 yards. MOA or better at 100 yards Will confirm velocity later this week.

    Hornady makes a steel case round for 7.62x39 that is loaded with a SST bullet... should be the ticket for varmits or hogs...

    I just went back to the drawing board with 3 powders, AR Comp/IMR 4064/TAC. With IMR 4064 I had an accuracy node between 42.4 grains and 42.6 grains with a velocity around 2505 fps. With TAC, 43.0-43.2 grains with a velocity of 2515 FPS. With AR Comp, 41.2-41.4 grains with a velocity 2507...

    Success at 600 yards this morning! The 40.6 grains of AR Comp under a 175 grain SMK allowed me to get 14 10 and x rings out of 23 shots fired. 3 were sighters and rest of the non 10/X was positioning on my part and trigger squeeze. Now I will see what the same load will do in my Bergara HMR.

    I had some great results today with a load of 40. 6 grains of AR Comp. I was able to get a 3 shot group that produced an average velocity of 2523 FPS witn and SD of 7... loading a bunch to test out!!!
