Target Idea / Anyone Do This Yet?

I'm thinking of hanging a 3/16 x 8 inch AR400 gong behind my 100 yard TQ-4 paper target when I'm shooting with my Aperture Sights at that distance. Anyone else do something similar to this? I would just try and center it up about 12 to 18 inches behind the target. The bullet would pass...

    Another "What Scope" question

I've used the Tasco Target / Varmint 6-24x42 w/AO & Mil-Dots, for years. I've had no problems with them on three .22lr Bolt Action Rifles. Also, if you're going out to 200+ yards you will want to get at least a 20 MOA Base for use with subsonic ammo. Maybe you already had that in mind. I like...

JULY 2014 SH Long Range Rimfire Competitions

Thanks Oneforall for taking this on. TP is a good guy, and has always been there when help is needed. I do need to tighten up my Aperture shooting at 100 yards. Haven't really found the right ammo for this distance with this old vintage Marlin 80DL. I believe the answer may lay with...

    Training rifle

Agree completely with the Marlin Buckaroo. I'm sure sorry I sold the one I had my kids learn on. I never thought about grand'kids at that time when I sold it. Guess I'll be looking for one in another year or two.

Is Uncle Sam buying up all the 22lr ammo??

You know, if people did not bid on any ammo that is put up on an auction such as this one, it would go a long way in ending this shortage and getting things back to a normal cycle of availability. Why encourage these dip-shits. It makes no sense to cut your shooting sports own throat, and...

Is Uncle Sam buying up all the 22lr ammo??

Looks like the gouger/scalper is at just over .08 cents a round on the bid, but still a far cry from what he/she expects to get. Far as I'm concerned even if I had the kind of money the fool is asking for - I sure wouldn't spend it on this moron's ammo. They can keep it and find another way to...

Is Uncle Sam buying up all the 22lr ammo??

So, is Uncle Sam hording ammo? Who knows? One thing for sure is we'll probably never know one way or the other.

The Price of .22 Ammo Just Blew Me Away

Laughable is all that comes to mind, paying those prices. I'm fortunate that I enjoy traditional archery and make my own longbows, arrows, and strings. I certainly don't need this price gouging crap so I'll just enjoy an earlier sport on my home archery range. I can spend hours out their...

"Smallbore F-Class'" coming soon per NRA!!!

Did you get any pictures Eddie? I too would like to give this a go, but I expect I'll just have to do it on my own as I live so far away from civilization where a good turn out for a club meet is 4 to 6 shooters, and at best 1 or 2 know what they're doing, LOL!!! Someday I'll get to one of...

April 2014 SH Short Range Rimfire Competitions

Thanks Mark, every once in a while I get a decent offhand score, then the next time it's anyone's guess. I do shoot more offhand then anything else, but that's normally with a flintlock muzzle loader that weighs a few pounds more then the .22 I used this month. Jump on in, this 4P is pretty fun.

What scope are you running on you 22?

I've been running the Tasco Mil-Dot Target/Varmint 6-24x42 AO scope for the last six years. Haven't had the weather to tweak it and me, to my new stock just yet, but I have no complaints.
