    Just a note on Leupold, discount is higher if you have a guides license or used to be. In some states a guide license is pretty cheap to obtain.

    I had the same setup I ran a egw base no can’t and swfa med rings, but they were too high, a low would have been great and still would have a lot of clearance. That’s about as cheap as you can go and still be pretty solid

    Every camera bag I have every tried are heavy compared to cubic inch of space. I have a gunslinger, which is very heavy but with a whole lot more space. The ways you access the gunslinger makes it a hole lot easier to find stuff as compared to a normal stuff style hiking backpack.

    Are you seeing any pressure signs at 42.6? And what velocity are you getting. I am shooting a 24” factory savage heavy varmit barrrel and at 41.7 getting just over 2800 with no pressure signs. When I graph my ladder test velocity over grains it shows a node at 40.3-40.7 at 26500 FPS then starts...

    You might want to use cation with cat crap or some of the other paste like stuff, some of them have a microabrasive "to polish" the lenses which might scratch the coatings, but probably not but i would just hate to experiment on an expensive piece of glass.

    I would go back to the factory guide rod and spring and see if that helps or makes your failure to feed worse. Might clean mag and or replace your mag spring. Bulging is not a major problem in the big bore glocks normally . By the way how did it shoot in factory form.

    Loaded a ladder up to 41.5 and was shooting 2800 fps ,with no pressure signs. just seeing what anybody else was loading.

    Spit works. If your pansy you can go to your local scuba shop and they have antifog. Been a diver for a while and used both, neither work great but better than nothing

    I have the midway pro and the tab. Both great mats for their intended reasons. I use the midway the most, it’s nice and comfortable. The tab is in my pack I like it because it multipurpose and it rolls up really small.

    I have the Helos it is a good scope with great turrets. The eyebox is a little tight but it is well worth the money. Tracks great too.

    My soft case is a cheapo from voodoo tactical I think but I like it a whole lot better than foam. I can change rifles or equipment and not worry about buying new foam. The rifle is suspended by the straps and doesn’t move. I tried it with just a drag bag but it moved too much for me.
