    Ruger 10/22 threaded barrel end

The ebay device says it's for 'fake suppressors' and that's what they mean. It's not accurate enough to mount a real suppressor, as previously mentioned, you would get baffle strikes with this slip-fit adapter. It's for 'visual effect' devices only: muzzle brakes, compensators and such. If you...

Leupold Mark 4 Spotting Scope Mil-dot Reticle?

Tough spot. If you bought it with the implication that it was in good shape and would carry a Leupold warranty and then found out about the grittiness and the loose housing I would talk to the seller. That's 3 strikes against what you were sold. Leupold will return you a good scope if they work...

Gunsmithing cant get the barrel off my 700

It was kind of mentioned above but the first thing you need is an actual barrel vise. A bench vise with jaws is not going to cut it. A barrel vise would crush those jaws you're using. You need something that will hold a barrel tight enough that you can swing on the end of a 3 foot cheater bar...

    Shooting events in Oregon?

I think you're describing the Practical Rifle's Sniper match at Tri County Gun Club. Just had the February Sniper match. The next long range precision rifle type match will be in September. The other monthly Practical Rifle matches are more AR based shorter range action matches. Check their web...

    Remington 700 Sendero Magazines

Remington factory magazines clip in from the bottom in the middle. You can't feed past this mechanism so there are no magazines that are longer or hold more rounds. One option is to convert to an AICS magazine / Badger type DBM.

Need some info on a Remington 40-X

Hard to tell from the pics, it looks like factory proof marks on the barrel. Is it a factory barrel? I could have been rebarreled, possibly with a different twist. You should check it. Put a tight patch on a rod and see how far it goes to rotate once. Then you'll know. Shoot it and have fun. It...

Which 700 Rem DBM has the closest footprint to a BDL?

The Stiller is great as mentioned. However, if it's for an aluminum bedding block stock, i.e. B&C or HS, it's A LOT of dremmeling for the width. I did it. I don't recommend it. It takes a mill. Fiberglass or wood, no problem. Dremmel and a file. The Stiller is oversize below the stock line...

Re: Service on SWFA 10x42HD The 10x42M are Bushnell. The HD are SWFA. SWFA took over the sales of the M from Bushnell and their HD line grew from there.

    I have primers......how can i ship them

Re: I have primers......how can i ship them Many are probably too young to remember when primers came in a little tray less than 2" square with 10 slots. The primers were 10 in a row all touching. I think is was the late 80's and a whole truckload of Federals went up. As I remember is was it...

    Gunsmithing PTG Stealth Inlet

Re: PTG Stealth Inlet B&C stock. Good to know. Easy: 1-Drill out the bedding block to allow the pillars to fit in. 2-Cut away the bottom of the bedding block until it's lower than the pillars. 3-Clearance the stock around the DBM until the DBM fits nicely on the pillars. 4-Bed the action...

    Gunsmithing PTG Stealth Inlet

Re: PTG Stealth Inlet As stated the PTG Stealth uses the Badger A-5 inlet. The pillars set the height (distance from bottom of action to the dbm). USE the pillars. Don't screw with you action rails. The AICS mags feed between them.

$1800 to convert. What would you have bought?

Re: $1800 to convert. What would you have bought? The Remington laminated stocks are excellent when bedded. 1000 yd BR guys prefer laminated claiming it helps dampen heavy barrels. $1800 would by decent scope and mounts. Bed a PTG DBM in there if he's going to shoot matches.
