Rifle Scopes Home on leave, looking at IOR scope

Man , I don't know what model or manufacture date you might have experienced but the two I was able to check out had better turret feel than the several S&B and NF I've used over the years, one of the many reasons I was so interested in the (3.5-18 X 50 specifically) IOR using steel bearings. I...

Rifle Scopes Home on leave, looking at IOR scope

phillip, Nice grouping, Stuttgart has not changed much over the years. I've been lucky to have stayed there pretty much my entire time. At my age now I do more with SOCEUR than my team. I catch a lift through Campbell all the time going back and forth to home and there are a few guys in the...

Rifle Scopes Home on leave, looking at IOR scope

Thanks guys for your input, I just got done talking with two guys from the 5th Group at Ft. Campbell who have the exact scope...they love it in every way. I did ask about any SF adjustment problems, neither had any or had ever heard of any.

Rifle Scopes Home on leave, looking at IOR scope

I'm looking at the IOR 3-18X50 FFP...are any of you currently using it? I really like the range, it's features and the illuminated modified MP-8. Like to hear some comments from those of you who have one.

Rifle Scopes Remington 700 SPS .308 Scopes?

One of my personal rifles is a 700P LTR, and with it's 18" fluted I did not want some monster size scope. Got a March-F 3x-24x 42mm FFP and I super pleased with it.

Rifle Scopes need help making scope choice

You need to read up and learn the ballistics of you rifle, determine what your purpose will be with it, read up on the specs of the scopes you listed or are interested in, come to a conclusion and make a educated choice.

Rifle Scopes Question for Vortex Viper PST Owners

I tried out 3 PST scopes late last year, did not keep any of them. For a moderate priced scope you pretty much get moderate quality, well that's my opinion. Of course what you've used before and purpose will always be your deciding factor.

Rifle Scopes March hunting scopes. How do they stack up?

There are very few scopes that are as good as March scopes.

Rifle Scopes A little help with hunting optics

For hunting the Nikon 3-9 is fine, what does the BDC matter? If you just have to have another scope in that price range just get a fixed power like a 10X and you will probably get better optics. You also state "tactical turrets" later...for what? Looks? If you are using the scope for hunting...

Rifle Scopes Scoping On The Cheap

I'd say buy that cheap scope, then when it fails buy another and another and another...our crappy economy needs your money.

Rifle Scopes Cheap scope wanted for a ar-15 need opinions

Well you want a cheap scope so it really doesn't matter in the $150 range they are all going to be crap so just pick one. If you want to get realistic that's a different scenario.

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST vs. Leupold Mk 4.

Unfortunately most peoples opinions are highly influenced by their wallets no matter what they say in justification. Vortex makes a good line of scopes and has a good rep for customer service. They also have, in the past, put out scopes that should have been kept in R&D a bit longer before being...

    McRee vs Rock Solid

I don't know what specifics you're looking for but over both of the chassis you mention you should look into an XLR. I like the mechanics and the components of Kyle"s XLR so much more than the McRee.

    1MOA Rifle, Mil/Mil scope.

"Anyone else find it funny that most precision shooters nowadays use Mil/Mil scopes" I think you're statements funny! At all the long range precision matches I've attended last and this year most participants use MOA based scopes with 1/8 MOA adjustments.

Unique Situation - Scope or Rifle

wk05... I commend you for asking a smart question. Determine what your goal in shooting is them pick and purchase a scope first. It's sad and also funny when you see the less intelligent buy a good rifle then pose the question " I only have XXX left" OR " what's the best scope for 300 or 400...

It's official -- USSOCOM Selects Remington for its Precision Sniper Rifle

Just keep in mind that SOCOM procurements don't always run their full course. I'll wait and see if the units end up liking this rifle or opt for something different for mission use (which is an option in our SOP). Remember the M24E1 (XM2010) was not accepted well because of it's newer chassis...

    Rifle Scopes Talley Tactical rings?

Talley sent me their Tactical rings and rail this past December, I feel they are the best design I've seen (in rings) for a long time. They use "lugs" that are part of the ring itself that fit very snugly into the rail slots instead of some loose bar or bolt that everyone else uses in some form...
