    Gunsmithing .450 bushmaster barrels

    Most factory bolt guns are 16 twist now that's all we use in the 450's . I might check around for a faster twist yet just to experiment with we did that with the 350 legend and use 10 twist barrels now .

    If you lock the barrel down and spin the action sometimes you don't need a wrench . This is how I handle Savage smooth nuts leaving them on the barrel.

    Couldn't he put scotch tape on the back of the round to check head space ? Stack them up till you get resistance ?

    We had a Henry 17 hmr lever gun new in box come in with no rifling just a nice smooth bore . If it was a 22lr I would have kept it for bird shot .
