I prefer my MK machining in the polymer to the machined one through vortex. The thicker profile of the polymer is nicer on the hands.
Not directy TT related, but just another opinion on the throw levers themselves.
The Oem tikka trigger locks the bolt closed when the safety is on. The timney trigger removes that function.
Some hate it, some like it. Im okay with my bolt being locked, but would love a 2stage. So eventually I will purchase the krg midas
So its been at least a couple of years since i had sent off this mid 60s .243win Winchester Cooey model 710(if memory serves me that is the model number).
So it was pulled apart by the local gunsmith and cleaned up, as it had been sitting for probably 25 years in poor environment conditions...
I shot it out to 300 yards numerous times and it is pretty consistent on steel.
Im not the best shot by far on this site, but i am extremely happy with them. They are potent on deer and antelope
I can comfortably say that I do in fact notice the difference. From pump alley to the compressor house is very noticeable.
One would hurt my ears with no ear pro, the other wouldnt.
Sure i may not be able to know the exact increase with my ears, but can tell there is a difference.
@Diver160651 not calling you out for the 5db comment. So no worries there.
Its the other guy who says
"I'm not saying don't wear hearing pro. By all means WEAR IT. But to give some idea that I'm going to notice a +5db change with a brake isn't always 100% factual."
Thats what bothers me...
To anyone saying a 5db increase in sound is not noticable... thats probably due to increased hearing loss over other people.
Sadly i have been around when someone decided that shooting their rifle with a vias radial brake, and no hearing protection. It was so aggressively loud, in that he was...
Following this. Have an old winchester cooey that i had freshened up and cerakoted. It definitely has a bit of a sticky feeling.
Hopefully find some good tips here
I havent spent much time on CGN to be honest. I have lurked around the back a few times over the years, much like i have done here. Wish i had more time to get out and shoot.
I thought, i believe it was Josh, had milled his out for a left hand tikka. Just the slot for the bolt handle, and cant remember if the bolt stop was in need of clearance
