    Rifle Scopes Need advice on scope for new tikka T3x CTR in 6.5 creedmoor

    I am also looking at an SHV F1 for a hunting rifle. I think 14 power would be sufficient for anything you describe. I have a FFP Bushnell LRS that tops out at 12 and have had no problems hitting steel at 1000 yards.

    DIY weighted buffer / BCG

    I added weight to mine because I couldn't get it to run reliably with a suppressor.....even with an adjustable gas block. The bolt was unlocking prematurely and my brass was getting beat to hell. Extra weight in the buffer helps the bolt stay closed a little longer so the brass can shrink back...

    I got my Tikka CTR 20" 6.5 Creedmoor for 799.99 at Whittaker Guns. It was my 4th and the 3 before it are sub half MOA. Why get a sloppy Remington with an average trigger?

    Just got my 20" CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor. I thought about getting the 24" but I have a thing for short rifles. This is my third Tikka....both my 7mag and 22-250 are easily under half moa and I expect the same from this one. Can't wait to shoot it next to my 20" 6 Creedmoor.

    My vote would be for a 6.5 Grendel. It's a versatile cartridge with pretty damn affordable factory offerings. I was very impressed shooting a buddies to 700 yards. What problems is your friend experiencing?

    I have a stainless 7mag and a blued 22-250. The only difference between them are mags and bolt stops because of the difference in cartridges.

    I got some Lapua brass for my 22-250 Tikka varmint. I dropped a grain from my original load and worked up again. This is 5 rounds @ 100 yards.....I always seem to pull one. This has become my favorite rifle.

    ReMage: Criterion vs Mcgowen???

    I had a 260 with a Criterion and have an AR 308 with a McGowen. Both were accurate with the 308 being a bit harder to shoot because of the platform. Both barrels seemed to prefer slower velocities.

    I never got close to 43.5 of Varget or 4064 with Federal brass. Anything over 40.5 and I would loose primers on every case. Now I need to start over with the LC brass and see what I get. 40.5 grains if 4064 with 178's gave me a little over half moa. The same load in the LC brass opened up to...
