    I agree with this. Get a 1/8 twist Tikka. My 7.5 twist Krieger 223AI shoots the 53 Vmax into little ragged holes.

    A word of caution when making subsonic 308s. If you are using light charges of a fast burning powder and you accidentally double charge because of the case volume, the results could be catastrophic.

    Building the Perfect Reloading Room

    Mine looks pretty similar to Defender3's setup. The top is a solid core door with a layer of 3/4" OSB, sanded with multiple coats of urethane. With presses and gear on top, and at least 200 lbs of brass, bullets, etc on the bottom shelf, it's solid as a rock.

    Rifle crown condition

    What is your experience level with rifles? Can you typically shoot better than 1-1/4? What ammo are you using? I have a 222 Remington that has some spots in the barrel that had rust from the previous owner. It will put 5 shots into a dime at 100 yards with 52 BTHP Hornady handloads.
