Cleaning Brass: Sonic v Tumbler w/Stainless Stell Media

My ultrasonic doesn't have any problem with carbon. I think all your giving up is a bit of shinyness. Mine will clean completely a couple hundred rounds in 24 minutes inside and out. For solution I just use 50 50 solution of white vinegar and water but I have to then dump them into a water...

    Holy smokes, DPMS G2 rifles

What is the contour on the hunter barrel outside diameter? Is there enough to thread the barrel for a brake?

    Bushmaster LR308

I would do things in this order. Drop in a new trigger. The trigger is horrible unless you have put many rounds down range on an AR. Timney makes a decent drop in that u can put in yourself. Shoot many rounds to see what the accuracy is like. The Nikon is a good scope for under 500 yards id...

    New savage model 12 .223

So if you go with a choate, They are not inletted, but they don't have the pillar for the newer center feed blind mags so u would have to find a way to lock in the blind mag sleeve. I don't know how Boyd's stocks are with blind mags

    New savage model 12 .223

might go to savageshooters.com its a great resource for this. lots of threads on stocks with the new trigger guard bolt release. So in the 200 to 300 you would be looking at the choate and they have an aluminum bedding block, but they arent inletted for a detachable magazine, so figure that...

Hard extraction at mild load problem

bcp, thanks for the input, and confirming the small base die use. i was going to check the bump as soon as i get my gauges. i needed it for my Bolt anyway. i just got 1000 rounds of prepped lake city. I keep hearing about small base dies for dpms 308. can you explain what the difference...

    help me pick an AR

i have a dpms sweet sixteen and it is easily sub moa. I was sub moa with the original trigger but i replaced it with the timney drop which made a huge difference for my stepson. I'm just used to a gritty military trigger. For price versus accuracy i don't think they can be beat. Reliability...

Hard extraction at mild load problem

i guess i should have elaborated. i didn't set the bump on my rcbs dies, so the bump is what ever it is set at with the factory. It is a standard rcbs die so i don't think they are small base correct? My bump guages are on the way from brownells as we speak.
