Re: This guy can get a fire going! still a big fan of using flint and lint...the vaseline cotton balls are cheating they are so easy I also like to use a mag bar when i can afford the extra weight, especially with wet stuff. a small pile of mag shavings burns HOT.- jayd4wg

I came across a Remington 1917 in 300WM, clean action, clean bore, actually a VERY clean gun overall. it has the enfield stamp on the receiver as well and my thought is that this is one of the rifles Enfield was contracted to make in early ww1? I also own a www.tickkey.com tick key. they work VERY well at removing the little bastids. i've tried the garlic trick, and the mouthwash...permethrin works better. so...- jayd4wg

Good caliper
Re: Good caliper I have a 20 dollar caliper from harbor freight. accurate to .0001" +/- .00005" and i've checked it against my machinist buddy's calibration blocks. it holds true and keeps it's zero from day to day. some people feel that if you arent' buying "the best" you are not getting...- jayd4wg
