    Re: Tanning hides Find a tannery and send cape off salted. When it come back all you'll have to do is wet and put on form and glue and pin. Shouldn't be more than 50 bucks to have tanned.

    Re: Barrel wear/pitting v velocity? Very well stated. Have a 243 taht is shot out at troat and chroney shows same load that it has always shot at 300fps slower as gases pass than it did just 4 years ago. Still will shoot just above an inch.
