    Custom builds are hard to sell. Your price is reasonable from a 'seller' standpoint (assuming low round count), but most people who are going to spend that much on a rifle will commission a build to get exactly what they want.

    FWIW, I sent a couple scopes in to them earlier this spring. One for target turrets and another to have a scratched eyepiece lens replaced, and both were turned around in about a week.

    I personally find 3.5" of eye relief necessary for a 300WM. You can make it work with less, you can work on your form, get a muzzle brake, etc., but you are still going to get tapped every now and again. Especially if you are using this gun for hunting - your form in a tree stand isn't always...

    Somewhat off topic, but where did you get the extended base for the Templar action? I have a Crusader (6.5CM) on order and am very concerned about the non-extended base all the pictures show.

    5R in a M40A1 stock. I have a color matched Mark 4 3.5-10x50 FFP TMR with M5 knobs but am running the USO on it until my GAP comes in.

    I find S&B steps ahead in the last couple minutes of visible light. That is why all of my hunting scopes are S&B (or German made Zeiss). For range use in bright sunshine the differences are still there but not as jaw dropping (at least to my eyes).

    QFT. I would also worry that with bad fundamentals the brake is likely going to decrease your accuracy.

    I will ponder that - thanks. I got about 2500 rounds out of my last .30-06 (which I since converted to .338-06). I guess when a new rifle was mentioned, I immediately thought of just a regular SPS or something. As for velocity, anything within reason works. I ended up with the 2910 (@55 F)...
