New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
What is the best rangefinder for reliably ranging targets (animal and steel) from 0-1200 yards. I do not need any bluetooth functions or ballistic solvers.
Anybody have a good comparison of a 6.5 Grendel vs 6.5 creed out of 18 inch barrels. I know the creed will be better but just trying to see how much better ballistically.... Drop, wind energy etc.
Yea i don't think you can really compare a compact spotter to the BTX. Thats kind of like comparing a a 6.5 creedmore to a .338 Lapua.
The market for the compact spotter is someone looking for super light weight. You do bring up an intriguing question. If your back backing in and weight was...
This seems like potentially terrible advice to me. The guy said he can't own very many guns and wants to have fun shooting at long range.
You claim "heavy bullets that will reach out just as far as the .308" I don't know what you mean by reach just as far and this guy didn't mention specific...

Can you stretch to this....
either way i would call Doug and talk about options
Thoughts on the night force ATACR 4-16 x 42 or NX8 2.5-20 for a JP 6.5 Creed Ar-10. Using it for hunting 0-600 and steel out to 1K. These would be the top end of my budget.
Matches i am not saying that truing is useless. i understand that it is required for all solvers. My point being if you took a trued hornady DOF and a trued Applied ballistics solver for your gun and ran it to really long distances which would be better. there do start to be differences at very...
So if thats case and Hornady truly believes their solver is better which is what they articulated in their podcast. However they did not mention Applied Ballistics specifically they just compared theirs to every other solver they are just gonna let applied ballistics dominate the market with...

This only makes since to a point. I understand how you can make a solver match your real world data but that is in an effort to then ultimately make hits on targets at various distances under various environmental conditions for the first time after that. Hence the question which solver is...
So i watched the Hornady podcast on their 4 DOF calculator. Based on what they are saying theirs uses significantly more computational power and in theory should be better. If that is the case why does Applied Ballistics seem to dominate it in the market place. To my knowledge Applied Ballistics...
