New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I need one Lapua 284 case to set the proper annealing index number for my AMP annealing machine. I have only 100 cases and do not want to sacrifice and then not have a full 100.
If you have tested the above and have a annealing number that would be sufficient for me.
Reading HR 127. Should this abomination become law (which I doubt), the Vudoo V22’s will be banned from production. What a wonderful world the Biden presidency is trying to pass.
Another FYI. My one FTF with the new firing pin and the 15# spring was only out from stock by what was needed to index it. Now I have reinstalled the 15# spring and waiting for the weather to clear out to try it. I fee certain the new firing pin will be the "ONE".
Thanks again Mile.
FYI
Back to the issue of the new firing pin configuration and springs. Yesterday I shot my V22S with the new firing pin and had changed the spring to 14# at the same time. Accuracy was marginal at best with several misfires. Change to the 15# spring and groups tightened up considerably...
I have been using Weaver T-36's for years with great success both in F-Open RF and BR RF, even CF out to 1000 yards. I have Turbo's Suhl's Anschutz's and now Vudoo V22 and V22S along with Rem 40X's and Win 52's. I can afford and do have NF scopes but they weigh a lot perched on top of our RF...
RAVAGE88, I have a V22S with the early firing pin. You have kindly sent me a new firing pin I believe ( snow has the USPS not delivering mail). I shoot Eley Match and RWS 50. Which spring would you recommend? I will be taking the bolt apart already and was wondering. I have had zero failures...
We use a plastic box to keep our ammo warm on cold days. We put a wash cloth in and a hand warmers. The wash cloth is to keep the ammo from contacting the had warmer. Works for us.
Why do a lot of people just report 25 yard groups?
Wouldn't be better to report 50 yard groups?
I guess it is all about the distance you normally shoot.
I was "corrected" on the measurement of my 6x5 target groups. I finally found the initiative and time to use my BR tools to measure. I used to shoot CF BR and as part of it I measured by groups with a tool used by the organization. Here is the tool and my corrected group sizes. Smallest...
Benton Gun Club (https://www.bentongunclub.org/ ) shoots BR every Thursday morning. No affiliation but we use this target and if you do not shoot a possible (250) with around 15- X's or more you will not finish in first place. Last Thursday morning the winning score was 250-15X and two shooter...
