Rifle Scopes Shout out to SWFA

They replaced my 16x when the parallax stopped working (after 4 years of use) - no questions asked. The scope is a great value for the dollar spent, and the 1st class vendor support makes it even better.

    New Tikka Tac A1 day...

Just shoot it! I love my .308 A1. Kept it as-is outta the box, added a scope, and took it out to a 2 day LR class in the NM desert. It did everything I asked of it and it performed flawlessly. Even with desert dirt blowing all over it, bolt was so smooth it made me smile every-time I ran...

    What no Varget!?

I have getting really good results with 4064 in my Tikka, but I recently tried N140 and it shoots a touch better than 4064 for me.

Help from the 175 SMK/I4064 Loaders

Hmmm. My experience with the MS is a POI shift but no discernible effect on group size. I wonder since barrels are like individuals, a MS affects each rifle differently? Maybe newer shooters like me are not consistent enough to see a correlation? FWIW - I have had multiple 10 shot groups...

    PRIME Ammo Out of Stock?

In today's internet world, I would figure the company would care about damage to their brand from loyal customers in the dark for so long. Not how I would run a business, but hey, they didn't call me and ask my opinion. I sent them an email 4 months ago, and they responded with 'Watch the...

    Tikka T3x TAC A1 20" Barrel

I took the lazy approach, left the stock rail in place, and tried the Burris XTR rings and used the 20 MOA inserts. They seem solid and well built. Ran a tall target test with my scope and all checked out fine. Full disclosure: I have no match or comp experience, just range/desert shooting...

Rifle Scopes What's the REAL story on SWFA?

I have two of their scopes and have been great. Customer service is awesome as well. I propped up a rifle while unloading from my safe 3 weeks ago, and it slipped and fell onto the concrete floor - right on the scope. uggh.. I thought it was toast. Glass was fine, still tracked, but the...

Not Happy with MPA customer service... 14 month wait for folding stock, multiple emails, phone calls with no response. Update Pg 1

I 'm thinking demand in industries like these is a huge challenge. If I owned a small company, I wouldn't want to tool up on a spike in demand only to have idle equipment or let people go when the new shiny thing comes along, or what I make is no longer the thing to have. Plus, I think these...

Prime Ammo - Everything Out of Stock?

A big move , that would make sense. However, Web sites are pretty easy to update and inform customers of such things and set expectations. The stuff shoots real well in my rifle and I am just too lazy to try something else. I guess time to try another brand.

Prime Ammo - Everything Out of Stock?

Does anyone have any insight into why Prime is out of everything? I have been checking on their website for the better part of 3weeks now for .308 and they have been consistently of out stock. I then checked all rifle calibers and ALL are out of stock.

    RipZilla...

Very nice, oozes quality. Screen cap taken so when I get a chance to have a rifle built by LRI, I can show what I want the stock to look like.

Lefty Shooter with a RH rifle

Lol! sorry, man. You will love it though - well worth the money. BTW, what chambering did you get?

Lefty Shooter with a RH rifle

Lol... I was this guy >> "just shoot right handed it's not that bad" for too many years (~40years??). I recently bought a true lefty and found the religion, angels wept. Gave my right handed to my kids for them to enjoy. Tikka makes good stuff in LH (I have a LH Tac A1), or as others have...

    Rifle Scopes Budget scope options

I have had a 12x and a 16x for a few years now. Really worth the money to me. Glass good enough, tracks perfectly, repeatable. I am not a competitor, but they have seen some rough handling. I am setting up a new rifle to try some practical shooting and my $300 SS 12x beat out an $800...

Rifle Scopes Scope mount recommendations - Vortex Viper on Tikka Tac A1 in 6.5 Creedmore.

I went with the 1.5 rings from Burris (their beefier version) and their 20moa insterts on my tac. All leveled out, holds the scope just fine. So far i have only shot to 200 and all is good. I set up a plumb line and tracked the scope up and down the line from distance , s’all good. In the...

Rifle Scopes New LD Shooter - Scope Advise Before $$ on a Class

Fdkay, I believe it is a Bushnell Elite Tactical G2DMR FFP Reticle Riflescope (3-12x42-mm). Use is for precision shooting at paper, steel, both at an organized range and some desert use where I can set up my own stuff. I would like to use it as an all purpose unit between 100-1000Y, maybe...

Rifle Scopes New LD Shooter - Scope Advise Before $$ on a Class

I am new to precision long distance shooting and I am getting my gear together to take a class soon (maybe try a comp??). I have a .308 T3 in a chassis and two scopes to choose from. I have both a Bushnell 3x12 Mil/Mil FFP and a SS 12x Mil/Mil. I have spent the last few hours comparing them...

    Question for the lefties.

The thing I never though of until one of the vendors (LRI I think?) brought it up, is having your face in front of the action should some thing let go. Rare, sure. Don't want it to be me... What all the others said above i recently figured out as I just converted to all left handed actions...

Lefty prone shooters - RH/LH bolt?

I just made my .223 plinker rifle 'correct handed', now I'm all lefty and G-2-G... :) Only took a few decades to figure it out!!!

Lefty prone shooters - RH/LH bolt?

Chad, you are right that switching up can 'confuse' your brain > hand coordination, but your brain figures it out real quick. Took one range session of about 40 rnds, and it feels very natural now. I guess it happens so quick because your brain is thanking you for finally using the correct side!!
