    Welp... broke a Harris

Legacy AICS... so stud. It does have a Badger IMUNS mounted so it looks like I have some options

    Welp... broke a Harris

I had a Harris BRM-S snap off at the point where the leg assembly is welded to the mounting plate. Now what? Replace with another Harris or buy something else? I really like the Harris but after some research it looks like I'm not the only one who's had this problem.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast Interview with Jacob Bynum

Frank... some really good takeaways from this podcast. Loved the info on Jacobs AW. I'm still shooting an old AW myself but I can't get a 90 degree angle with my trigger finger. My hands are probably bit larger than average so I end up with maybe 80 degrees, maybe a little less. In other words...

    AI Competition Trigger Field Worthy?

I've got an older AW that I'm thinking about swapping the trigger out on as I'm having hard time with the somewhat cramped grip of the old style stock in relation to the location of the trigger. In other words, I'd like to increase my length of pull with the trigger. With the new triggers...

Classic Accuracy International ACIS/AWM chassis grip woes

You are absolutely right. If I don't build my position correctly it shows immediately in that I either miss completely or I end up way off target when come out of recoil. The hardest thing for me to do is to relax my shoulders while keeping the rifle firm into it. I have a tendency to want to...

Classic Accuracy International ACIS/AWM chassis grip woes

I tried a similar technique in the past. It seemed to work OK with the 308 but the 300 win mag wasn't consistent at all. Either I just suck or the 300 seems to be very unforgiving of poor technique. It seems to like a pretty firm hold.

Classic Accuracy International ACIS/AWM chassis grip woes

Yeah... I know its not 2003 anymore but I still like the old classic style AI rifles. Up until the last couple years they didn't get much use. Now they get shot at least once a weak. I've found that the grip just doesn't seem to fit me all that well. I was wondering if anyone has come up...

Bolt over base malfunction Remington 700 AICS 300 Win mag

Update... So looks like it was the mag spring. Compared to a new mag the spring is very weak. I was somewhat surprised that it wore out so quick. Called Mile high about a replacement spring and follower. Was told probably not but I need to follow up this week with their parts guy. More to...

Is there a field worthy two stage Trigger with...

Is there such a thing as a field worthy two stage trigger that has an adjustable shoe for length of pull for those of us with long monkey fingers? I'm currently using a calvin elite on a classic aics chassis and find the grip a little cramped when prone. Thanks.

Rifle Scopes Anyone run a 16x for their main optic? regrets?

The 16x question really interests me. I'm in Utah and do most of my shooting with a 4-16 Schmidt or 3.5-15 nxs. I keep thinking I want more mag but I generally just shoot steel and mirage is always a problem here. I'm also left wondering if a 5-25 wouldn't just leave me with mag that I can't...

Bolt over base malfunction Remington 700 AICS 300 Win mag

Possible. I'll try another one. It's only had about 1000 rds through it but certainly possible.

Bolt over base malfunction Remington 700 AICS 300 Win mag

I've been starting to get bolt over base type malfunctions on the last round in the mag. I'm shooting a 300 win mag in a Rem 700 in a classic AICS chassis. The mag is an original AI mag. I'm guessing I need to tweek the feed lips but before I start down that road I figured I'd consult here...

Anyone make the jump from 300 win mag to 300 norma?

All great info here. As far as the belt on the 300 win mag is concerned... I ignore it and set my die to headspace off the shoulder. I bump the shoulder .002 and call it good. I've got 9 reloads on some once fired 300 mil brass and primer pockets still going strong. Though admittedly i'm not...

Accuracy International AW and small primers

Yeah its an 06 factory 308. I'm assuming headspace on the snug side is beneficial in this case then? I'm in Utah where I have the advantage of high altitude but the wind never stops blowing so there's shiz in the air constantly. Is .002 on a factory case enough room to account for some crap...

Accuracy International AW and small primers

The two on the left are large rifle 308, the two on the right are small. All the cases in the original pic are 308 small rifle primer. Not a very large sample I know.

Accuracy International AW and small primers

I don't know if this is any better but here's a couple examples of a large rifle primers next to the small I shot today as well.

Accuracy International AW and small primers

I tryed some Lapua Palma brass in my AW today to see if I might need to have my bolt bushed to shoot small rifle primers. I ran some Palma loads that push a 155 Sierra at about 2800 out of my 20inch AW. I don't see any cratering at all. Does this load produce enough pressure to give an...

Anyone make the jump from 300 win mag to 300 norma?

Looking at a new rifle and I'm debating making the change from 300 win mag which I have a lot of experience with to 300 Norma. It seems to me that 300 Norma doesn't really offer a huge performance increase to 300 win mag even with the heavy .30s but brass costs are significantly higher in...

Accuracy international G22... Ever seen one of these?

Yeah man... that's my problem too. I'm way more of a shooter than a collector.
