    BRN-180 vs Piston Conversion…

I have an unfired Colt 6920 sitting in my safe that I’m not doing anything with. I’m considering either getting an Adams Arms piston kit and modifying it or selling it and getting a BRN-180. I kinda lean towards the 180 and I love the recoil design, but hate the charging handle and how open the...

    Enfield Gunsmith

Brian Dick at http://bdlltd.com/ is the only answer… He’s well respected on both sides of the pond. He isn’t cheap but it will be to MoD standards and no one does better work. He and Bruce Dow collaborated to do a faux-(T) for me a couple years ago and it was worth it. I can’t shower his work...

Enfield No 4 Mk (T) clone needs scope and mount.

I don’t think he sells them anymore but I got mine from Roger Payne in the UK. Short of the real thing they’re the best you’ll find. I’d look around and see if anyone if you can find one for sale. Identifying it as a real Roger Payne tho might be a… pain.

Enfield No 4 Mk (T) clone needs scope and mount.

I’m late to the party but for what it’s worth… I ordered my scope thru Numrich (I think). Warren over on the milsurps forum tarted it up for me. He has a stellar reputation and did amazing work. The scope now tracks as well as any of my Leulold’s. Incidentally, he’s also the guy that reverse...

    Garand ammo?

Pressure is more important than muzzle velocity or bullet weight. For the OP, most manufacturers will list on the box if it is safe for the Garand. Another option is to reload your own ammo for it, that’s what I do.

    Any SVD Shooters here?

If I remember correctly he is the associate of FEG who helped put the list together to gauge interest and see if it was worthwhile for FEG to build the guns. That would honestly be where his role starts and ends. Again, responsibility and blame seems largely to fall on Trident, and Tim and CC...

    Any SVD Shooters here?

FEG built the rifles but Trident imported them. FEG really didn’t have a lot to do with any of this but they have requested CC honor the list. Tim and CC says they will but has poo pooed doing so cuz they seem to want to gouge the market with a 100% or more profit. Of course that’s not the...

    Any SVD Shooters here?

Yep. Long story short... A good while back a FEG associate posted on AKFiles to put together a ‘will buy’ name list to gauge interest in these rifles. This is the same list that Tim claims didn’t exist and then later changed his story to ‘is old and was never official’. That Tim is a regular in...

    Reproduction No4(t)?

Unless you can get quality reproduction pads and scope bracket it isn’t worth it IMO... I recently had one made. It was a joint effort between Bruce Dow who rebarreled a receiver I had with a Criterion barrel and mounted pads (from Fultons of Bisley) and collimated the Mount bracket (from Roger...

"Rifles of Simo Häyhä: The World's Greatest Sniper "

Pretty sure that isn’t wholly accurate, but when their supposed ‘friends’ sided up to the enemy next door what should anyone expect!? It’s hard to criticize them under the conditions that were imposed on them.

Well, Black Rifle Coffee, that was stupid, wasn't it?... "We do not support Kyle Rittenhouse or his legal defense efforts".

I missed a lot of the goings on over this (thankfully). I will say this though... Not supporting or wanting to get involved with the political BS over the Kenosha Kid I get, and I think it’s stupid to abandon a company that support veterans over such a stance is stupid. HOWEVER, recent...

    Finland M39 Mosins

I’ve got a couple... Great rifles. I load D166 for mine and they shoot very, very well.

    Mosin Nagant fail video

I’m not the biggest fan of Mosin’s but they really do have an undeserved reputation as ‘garbage rods’. I have two that shit for shit when I got them. I cleaned them up and bedded them according to the the old Soviet doctrine for the sniper rifles and now both are roughly on par with any of my...

    Scored a K11...

Finally took possession of a Swiss K11 I ordered from Empire Arms in December... Really nice condition overall with strong rifling and a 'match grade' trigger. The bluing has faded quite a bit but looks to be more the byproduct of overzealous cleaning...

    Ogive and bullet jump measurement

This is a more generalized question but hopefully someone can assuage my overthinking... I’m not a complete beginner when it comes to reloading as I’ve been doing it for a few years but at the same time being military with deployments mixed in I’m not as experienced as I should be. Anyway, I...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 48 Recommendations...

So I bought a G48 a couple days ago. This wasn't related to the current panic as I have enough guns and ammo that I don't worry about short term stupidity. I bought the G48 because as the warmer months approach I want something that conceals better than my G19 in shorts and t-shirt weather...

    Making a No4 Mk1 faux T

That's a beautiful setup you have there... My Faux-(T) I had built up from a salvaged receiver and a spare NOS stock I had sitting in the closet. Spent the money and got the right parts from Roger Payne and Fultons of Bisley in England. The pad and culminating work and rebarreling (with a...
