Brownells had RL26 in stock last week.

    Biggest unicorn

What's the most unobtanium component you can't get your hands on? For me it is Retumbo. I literally haven't seen that stuff anywhere in 3 years.

Rifle Scopes ZCO Hunter scope at the IWA event

That's your opinion. I guess there are different flavors of hunting. Maybe 10 lbs is a good target down in TX. For the hunting I do (10k+ elevation wilderness elk hunting in CO), I shoot for under 8 lbs. Every ounce counts when you are literally climbing mountains with the rifle strapped to...

Rifle Scopes ZCO Hunter scope at the IWA event

I don't understand the 36mm tube on a hunting scope.

    carbon fiber barrels

It's been mentioned, but being able to use larger diameter muzzle thread patterns like 3/4" without a super heavy barrel is an advantage of CF barrels.

    New build.......... for future

Your parts look fine. Lots of subjectivity there. So in the vein of subjectivity, I'd look at a Lone Peak action because they are my favorite. Compared to my Surgeons and Defiances, they feel the best and smoothest.

    223 AI build info

Any good smith will have a throating reamer to give you whatever freebore you want. What bullet do you want to shoot? My 223AI was chambered by SAC for an 80.5 Berger dummy round with the bullet seated where I wanted it.

    WTB 300 WSM brass

Reviving this thread - anyone have any leads on a couple hundred pieces of Norma or ADG brass? I've been looking literally for like two years. I have all of the parts in hand for a new build but I want to get brass squared away first. I'm this close to just going to GunBroker and bending...

    Best biometric safe

I use a Fort Knox pistol box with a Simplex lock. Biometric locks are pure gimmick and don't belong anywhere near something your life might depend on.

    Defiance bought out

It almost seems like many of you are rooting for Defiance to fail. That's a bummer. The world of custom rifle actions is a pretty niche industry, supported by enthusiastic patrons willing to pay a premium for a premium product. Economics 101 principles don't really apply here for the same...

Lone Peak Arms Fuzion and McMillan Stock Inlet

Joke or not, it needed to be said so that the novice reading this thread doesn't get the wrong impression. Have a nice day.

Lone Peak Arms Fuzion and McMillan Stock Inlet

I've ordered three stocks from McMillan since the acquisition and all have been perfect. They still churn out an awesome product. The notion that quality has fallen off is just plain untrue. It's all the same people working the production at McMillan. The OP's problem was a fluke that...

The 80.5s are sweet. Very consistent at 20 thou off. Can't see any reason to shoot anything else. Pushing them a touch over 3000 with TS15.5.

Both rifles have Manners' Elite Tac carbon shell. That 308 weighs 11.2 lbs. The scope and rings add almost 2.5 lbs.
