What magnification range do you prefer/like?

Personally I don’t like my hunting scopes with bigger than a 44 objective. For me there are 2 reasons. One is weight, big is heavy, but the main reason is scope height. Getting a good position behind a scope that is 2“ + above the bore in less than ideal position is a pain. I’ve never felt...

Night Vision LRF range finder with NODs

What about with a thermal setup. I'd think that the thermal would not be able to see the beam. What options there.

Range Report 7mm-08 vs 6.5 creed, which is better ballistics

My favorite hunting rifle is my 7-08. Spun it up about 8 yrs ago when Rock Creek did a group buy on some button rifled line they were starting. Mine has a 24" barrel and pushes a 140 (accubonds or SGKs) at 2900 with 2000MR. It could probably go faster, but don't need to, deer can't tell the...

Night Vision LRF range finder with NODs

Yea, that's in theHorta range. I get that quality NV stuff is spendy, but I'm trying to find options that a mere mortal might be expected to over spend on.

Night Vision LRF range finder with NODs

I've never used them together so I guess the question is how do you use a LRF on a target that is at say 250 to 300 yds that you can only see in the NODs. For example a weapon mounted thermal scope. How or what LRF would you use to get a range?

Night Vision LRF range finder with NODs

What are the options out there for LRF that can be used with NODs. I've seen the Pulsar Trail with LRF and I SiCo made one for a while, but what else is out there? My google-fu is not giving me much satisfaction.

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

Not any more likely to pull a round in the ICFRA Full Bore format than in the US string fire format. @milanuk has shot more international than I have but I've shot the format pretty regularly over the yrs (I won SOA in '15 and I've been 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the East Coast Fullbore Championships...

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

Your rifle, build it like you want to. Weight is a consideration LA is heavier. I run very heavy barrels, my choice, I like them that way. My rifles make weight by grams not oz. If you run a Phoenix bipod, (one of the 3 favorites in the game) they are heavy, you may be limited to a heavy...

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

The 155s are great for mid range. They give up a little to the heavies but they also have less recoil and most people can group them tighter than the heavies so when the wind isn't killing you your Xs go up.

    F T/R Competition Which bullet...for F-TR in 308?

I'm going to disagree here. I don't know of a single F-TR shooter who uses a long action. I don't know ever shooter, but I am on the US team and I've been doing this since 2011. There are some few who seat short enough to get a live round out, but almost every one of us pulls the bolt to get...

Member Link Up New England/New Hampshire

I live in Eastman, NH. Since I moved up here I have really come to understand the expression "you can't get there from here." Littleton is about 90 minutes for me even though it doesn't look like it should be. I didn't know Alder Brook went to long range. I'll have to get up there and...

F T/R Competition Fclass arca rail bipod

I think the bipods from LRA are and a couple of them would work fine. Some of the other wide footprint PRS based pods should work too. "F Classs bipods" are basically Joypod, Phoenix, and Duplin, not many others out there in use. None of those is cheap. If you are going to spend the $$ on a...

Which one did you think was the Me 109? There is a P-40, P-51, F4U, and a Spitfire in order of the passes on the canal. The Spit and the F4U are shown on the canal in reverse order of the formation in the air.

New rifles shoots 14 mils low

The part of this that is baffling to me is that you have aligned the bore with the scope POA so at 100 the impact should have been close. I've done the pull the bolt, line the rifle up on the orange dot and bring the reticle to the dot trick every time I've mounted a new scope and they are...

    Rifle Scopes Riton scope testimonies

https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/riton-customer-service.7023862/#post-8793493 I've got a 1-8 hunting variation. It's a 1-8. At 1x it's pretty much like looking through a tube, and at 8x it's still clear. The reticle is great for my 458 SOCOM because it has the ballistics of a...
