    i'm sorry, i thought i put that in the post. i was shooting the federal gold medal match 6.5cm with the 130gr berger hybrid otm. so you think the bolt is moving backward before the gas has time to do it's thing? do you think adding another tungsten weight to the buffer would help?

    i have tried butler creek and they totally suck. last about a week. the ocular is the same as a pvs-14 eyepiece or most goggles i believe. has anyone found a decent brand and size for this particular thermal? i like a scope cap where i am,, super dusty around here, want to protect...

    gas block is adjusted well. i did just try out a different ammo yesterday and it is working really good. hardly any signs of pressure

    well, defintely ejector mark, medium heavy. also a mark from inside the bolt where it has cut out. flat primers, no cratering though. and some extractor marks. how does someone see if chamber is on the large side? actually, i think i know. will go measure.

    I've already had a couple decent recommendations,,, is there any consensus out there? 16" barrel. getting pressure marks on current choice. I really don't want to started reloading for this gun, it's not a daily shooter. just some decent ammo but not factory "hot"

    i have not yet, next on the list. i wasn't trying to re-invent the wheel on this,, i have posted asking if anyone knows of an existing factory cartridge that is kind of well known to work in an ar10 6.5. i guess i just trust federal to not over crimp their match ammo.

    yes, i have been gathering more info, I suspect this ammo is just to hot for this rifle, I am looking for some factory 6.5 cm ammo that is hopefully loaded below sammi specs. someone suggested hornady black. i'm not a hornady fan but seems like easiest solution.

    thanks, what is ironic, is i had put a call into kestrel, and I asked them this same question and they consulted with their bullet "guru's" who said that it was not the same, the AR was a totally different bullet.

    I usually put a dab of phil's tenacious oil before threading on suppressor stuff, to help get it off later. is there anything way better to use?
