Suppressors Omega: ASR vs Direct Thread

Is there significant accuracy difference between an ASR brake and direct thread? I don't care about weight/length. But I do bounce the can around between rifles frequently; all of the AR 15/10s have ASR mounts, the bolt gun is the only one I DT. 24" 6.5 CM

    PRS Talk PRS Casual Rules...

Nope. We"re the ones that take a CEC Officer's plans for some Orphan's School and turn it into a still, tikki bar and gentleman's lounge.

    Officials vs Range Officers

Back to the topic..my experience is much more in the 3 Gun world. So maybe PRS type is different. Having a shooter, just a regular squad member, run the practiscore tablet or Run the timer on a stage just isn’t that big of a deal. Unless we’re talking blind stages, it just makes sense for...

    PSA PA-10 Magazines, quick question.

My Gen 2 18” .308 gas system issues were solved by putting a proper buffer in place. As I recall, it came with a ~3oz buffer, going to H3/5.4oz buffer fixed it right up without swapping the gas block. Runs fine suppressed and not.

    Truing without knowing Zero Offset

Why not? Practice at 700 today, but 1000+ is a regular occurance

    Truing without knowing Zero Offset

Tikka TAC A1 6.5CM Today I was shooting ~700 yards with the factory 140gr American Gunner. My normal load is 140gr ELD-M at ~2750fps

    Truing without knowing Zero Offset

To clarify, I DO have a solid, repeatable/consistent zero for my usual hand load.

    Truing without knowing Zero Offset

My Kestrel is good to go with my normal hand load. Today, I shot some factory (Hornady Am Gunner) loads for practice. I put the numbers into the Kestrel, got initial numbers and started banging steel at 550, 665 and 700 yds. I ended up adding .3 mils to the Kestrel's solution. So, I can "true"...

Night Vision Weapon Mounted Options, Advice Needed

I'll be "that guy" in a thread where budgets of multiple thousands of dollars are being tossed around. I spent ~$600 on one of the ATN X-Sight 4K units and couldn't be happier. Bought an upgraded (Surefire) IR Illuminator for ~$125 that made a huge difference. With that setup I have no...

Remember the pro-2A black guy at the city council meeting?

That makes as much sense as staying home instead of voting for your candidate. Are you saying you trust the dude that is a dedicated politician over a pissed of citizen? Hell, I’d much prefer to see EVERY politician be a “civilian”.

Looks like he'll be in Asheville this weekend. I'll load up my boys and go shake that man's hand.

Magneto flashers - keep outside long term?

IOW, you don’t actually have any thoughts on the specific question. Gotcha. Next!

Magneto flashers - keep outside long term?

Who has experience with keeping Magneto flashers mounted to steel and left out for extended periods? I have 700 yds that follows a steep incline. If I could mount the flashers and only make the climb to change batteries that’d be awesome.

    22 for young kids

The Savage Rascal is surprisingly accurate and operates like a real bolt gun. No “plunger” that only encourages mishandling like the others
