Sidearms & Scatterguns XDM 10mm GTG or NO

I've shot the 5.25" 9mm in 3 gun for years with the stock sights. So, when I got the 10mm they were what I was used to and work well for me.

Sidearms & Scatterguns XDM 10mm GTG or NO

Very accurate. Low recoil impulse. Great trigger. All around A+ I went with the 5.25" and couldn't be happier

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

I do. But we probably ought to continue with beating the horse just in case.

    Reccomendations for left handed folk

If you don't really want to deal with custom, or are getting analysis paralysis like I did, the LH Tikka Tac A1 I picked up a couple months ago is a far better rifle than any production gun has a right to be. It is consistently giving me 0.3-->0.4 MOA results with a moderate hand load. And...

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

Just for clarity, not that it really matters, but this group was just used to illustrate my question. The 'offset' see here from POA is just coincidental in this case. I was doing load work up and always adjust so POA/POI are the same once I have load determined. Annnnddd....I also ponied up...

    East Tennessee PRS local match

East or West of I75? What town? Coming from Western NC, that may not be too bad of a drive.

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

I get the 1.047 conversion. Lefty's post quoted below confused me, but I'm pretty sure he was just wrong.

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

And this was the cause of my question....I guess I'm confused about referencing a difference between group size as a linear measurement and its "MOA".

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

hey! you shorted me 2 shots... =) Thank you.

    is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

Stupid question maybe, but how do you measure this group? 5 shots, 100 yards, 6.5CM Measured .543" using calipers from outside edge to outside edge. Bullet is .264" So...is this a .543" group or a .278" group?

Rifle Scopes Swapping optics in the field....QD Mounts or a good torque driver?

Let's say you're in the field for a hunt and want to use your normal scope during the day. Night time rolls around and you're staying out for 'yotes or hogs or whatever and want to swap out the scope for an ATN X-Sight. For that matter, you could be swapping a long range scope for a LPVO or...

Night Vision Does thermal work in total darkness?

For what the OP describes...finding downed animals, that SEEK that I linked above rocks. I've picked out hogs at 300 yards with it and down deer in the middle of the thickest laurels you can imagine at 100 yards.

Night Vision Does thermal work in total darkness?

I've had very good luck tracking with a SEEK Thermal adapter on my phone. No, it's not a FLIR, but it lights up like a christmas tree when there's an animal down in the thick stuff. It's not so much tracking the blood trail as just lighting up the animal itself. So, it's for those 'right at...

Adventures in Air Travel with a Rifle

The point about not trying to be the know-it-all rules guy is spot on. That never works in any part of life where someone with a bit of authority has a different idea. Kinda like arguing a ticket on the side of the road. Be polite, plan on extra time and go with the flow. It's always worked...
