    This has been my experience as well. In theory, the 300 NM should outrun the 300 PRC. My experience has been shooting loads optimized for accuracy, the differences are not what I expected. In theory, theory and practice are the same thing. In practice, they often are not. Good luck.

    I have only tried that combination with the long action. Works but trigger hanger interferes with the stock at the rear. Needs a few minutes with a dremel.

    It should be fine for that purpose. My observation is not a complaint. The rifle does its job. Neither the stock nor the action have the fine machine feel of slightly more expensive options that admittedly are heavier.

    I have one in 6.5 PRC. No complaints. It's a good tool. It's an entry-level rifle. Don't expect great pride of ownership.
