Not happy with Palmetto CS ATM

I live in Columbia near the PSA store. I've spent a good bit of money there. I've learned a few things from them. Their budget stuff is for sure quantity over quality. If you order something plan on it shipping late. I've had a few orders, specifically a Geisselle SSA-E that was ordered on...

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I've already got the MPR with a SWFA 5-20 HD. It's under bolt actions for the review. More detailed one to come. http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/christensen-arms-mpr-initial-review.6879393/#post-6989639

    Christensen Arms MPR Initial Review

I like the action and trigger, I have 6 match factory loads to try out side by side with my T3X next time I get to the range so I'll do a little side by side testing. Worst case I'll get a barrel for it down the road. If it likes the 143 or 147 loads I'll be happy. Haven't gotten my reloading...

    Christensen Arms MPR Initial Review

Initially I was looking for a 300wm, but after shooting this one I don't know how pleasant a 300wm would be lol.

    Christensen Arms MPR Initial Review

Did some ammo testing with the BCM while I was there only 50yrds, trying to pick a defense load:

    Christensen Arms MPR Initial Review

I didn't see many reviews when I decided to purchase this so I figured I'd make a thread of my initial review and later update it once I get some more time with it. Model: Christensen Arms MPR 26 inch 6.5 Creedmoor. Initial unboxing showed that it was well packaged, and pretty well covered...

So if a guy had to choose.....

If you want to get into competition the RPR is hard to beat. Change everything yourself with tools in your garage. Huge aftermarket already. Plus depending on the match you can run higher cap mags. Shorter bolt angle is nice too. I had one that I sold to a friend to get my CTR. Sometimes...

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

I got mine set up, tomorrow it will go to the range. I've got ~280 rounds of various ammos I think it's 8 different weight/manufactures. I'll be doing break in per their recommendation and them doing some strings to see what it's capable of. Forgive my basement carpet. For the record, once I...

Advise on a new rifle purchase

I'd go HMR Pro. I'm waiting to see if They release a 300 WM HMR Pro, if not I'll get a seekins havak. The HMR was very smooth when I shot one. Very accurate too.

Barrel condition when next range trip is unknown?

Use an oil impregnated gun sock. If you live in a humid environment you may want to use a light grease in the barrel and swab it before you shoot again. I live in a humid enviroment and this is how I kept my M1A bore from rusting. I swear that shit would rust if you looked at it wrong. If...

Rifle Scopes First long range scope purchase.Would like help choosing..

I just had this same thread, check my post, had many of the same options to choose from. I found a good price on the SWFA 5-20 HD. Took it out to some farmland and was reading signs and plates on the work trucks from 800 to 1300 yards. Very impressed at the price point. Didn't get a chance...

Rifle Scopes Looking for opinions for FFP under $1500 for 6.5cm

I really liked the clarity if the Razor HD, but Lord have mercy was it heavy. I was not expecting the weight. I absolutely love the Razor AMG and it's so much lighter... the SWFA was a good trade off of in between weight and for the price it was offered I couldn't turn it down. Haven't had a...

I saw these after I ordered the used SWFA HD. Still interested in them. But my SWFA is very nice

Rifle Scopes First build - need advice

Max of 300 yards? Howa barreled actions will do it. As will pretty much any other brand out there. I don't know why MDT states that but there are plenty of chassis systems out there for Howa if you want to go another route. I am a KRG fan myself. You can also find Remington barreled actions...

    Lightest Tikka chassis?

I go to night shift next week, I may break out a micrometer and see what the differences are however based on KRG's statement it's something with the action itself I believe. Because the Bravo for the Remington does accept the polymer mags. Maybe thicker feed lips or something on polymer, I...

    Lightest Tikka chassis?

I was a little disappointed myself but they've moved it up higher on their info page: https://kineticresearchgroup.com/product/bravo-chassis/ "Tikka inlet accepts T3, T3x, and CTR versions. Magpul AICS polymer mags DO NOT work with Tikka actions." Maybe some creative sanding would change that...

    Lightest Tikka chassis?

They are not, the x-ray has more space. The tikka bravo is as metal AICS style only. None of my polymers fit. My X-ray and Whiskey both work with any mags you try of AICS pattern, magpul and even a Ruger polymer I have for my GSR.
