    Let's ignore 3,315 is nothing crazy out of a gasser..... while Hodgon's reloading data shows a max of about 3,100 fps across all of their tested powders for an 85.5.

    Uhm, Peterson’s load data and pressure testing disagrees with your assertion that your load isn’t hot. This is comparing their load data with an 80.5 Berger….. COAL: 2.560" Powder Type: H4350 Powder Charge Weight: 36.3 Grains Velocity: 3,228 fps Pressure: 62,223 psi

    Podcast covers it. Hornady claims the Valk was too difficult to tune, especially at top end velocities. Said 22 ARC is far easier to tune and therefore can run 100 fps faster than the valk running at a lower pressure.

    My guess as well. I would think they’d be grabbing their numbers from a gas gun. Of course, this just popped up on the book of faces. I read comments that it wasn’t supposed to be released until Shot, so they may be slightly proprietary.
