New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I'm only seeing chassis for the Ruger American on their site or the centerfire M77, not the rimfire 77/22 or even 10/22...
I just found a Tikka T1x on a local forum, so might be going that rout. Still reading up on it all. They seem like a PITA to change barrels on... or at least get the...
I find it odd you have to change the bolt head for 22 LR and 17HMR. I thought they would be the same. I guess there's a dimensional difference when building to tight tolerances for max accuracy potential.
I'm looking to buy a Rimfire repeater that I can use in 17HMR for varmint shooting as well as 22LR for some precision training and maybe some rimfire matches. I'll likely upgrade to a chassis. I only shoot varmints a couple times a year so swapping/rezeroing isn't terrible.
I have a Ruger...
I came to the same question but backwards. I learned about the Remage process and rebarreled my shot out 223 Rem700 VS with one, with the intention of using it for varmints again... Then started looking at heavy bullets for the 1:8 twist and realized the capability and potential. Now I'm looking...
I bought a relatively inexpensive digital caliper from a reloading brand when I started. I never really trusted it and it seemed to give inconsistent readings. I thought it was just uneven case bases or something else odd... Eventually it died and last year I upgraded to a Mitutoyo 500-196-30...
This would have been great for some 308 ammo I recently loaded for my large frame AR... I had to mortar the gun several times to extract rounds that failed to chamber all the way. Upon further inspection, I figured out that I didn't size the cases enough. They were 7.62x51 cases shot by the...
Wow, those are some good prices. I bought an International Barrels Remage from Brownells and am really happy with it, but it cost a lot more. I'll check out those other vendors for the next one...
What do you guys think of the reticle subtensions?
I nearly bought one of these a few weeks ago but was put off by the fact the turrets are 0.1mil and the lower windage subtensions are 0.25mil. It seems like an annoying mismatch. Maybe it's just me.
