    Total kinetic energy = linear kinetic energy + angular kinetic energy

    The energy result produced by ballistics programs omits the angular kinetic energy component from bullet spin - it cannot calculate it without barrel twist as an input. Why is this? It angular/spin energy negligible? ETA: I found that Litz already answered this on LRH...

    So when I wandered online to Brownell's tonight and found it there, I put 10 in the cart and checked out for $75/50 brass. I'm not sure I believe it will be delivered. But it it is, this means that if you look consistently you shall find, and the price is not that bad...

    But if you COULD release it in the same place with the same speed over and over, do you visualize it taking the same path each time or winding up at the same spot after a certain time elapsed again and again?     Have you ever spun a top starting in a specific spot and had it become stable at the same spot over and over? The fact that things stabalize does NOT mean that they stabalize in the same spot over and over which is what we need if it's going to be of use to us in shooting.

    You're right it's 3.391 I had to subtract for the hornady insert and I subtracted twice. Oops They're the boxes that come with the DTA ammo and yeah they're 50 cal boxes. But MTM makes a case the blue one that fits the SMKs. Too. Probably wouldn't fit a solid
