New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I would just stick it in refrigerator for a few hours then take it out and see if condensation forms inside of the scope. If so, send it back to NF to have the re-purge and re-seal. If not, you should be set
Nice... the occluded objective does work really well. I have had multiple people ask me why I only have a cap on the objective and that is why. I don’t really shoot like that since I have the rmr but it’s good to have the option. ACSS aurora is also the way to go. Good post. Right on
Does anyone remember if the factor top rail is 0 or 20moa?
I’ve definitely become accustomed to waiting/delays when it comes to this type of stuff but I don’t know how much longer I can lug around my 24” heavy palma on hunts. My local shop seemed to think it was a recall due to head spacing...
I have personally moved from an LPVO to an ACOG (fixed 4x so similar concept)w/ offset RMR and have been happy with it. I mainly did it to save some weight. With my LPVO, I would typically have it set to 3-4x. At 6x (razor 1-6), it was taking me longer to transition from target to target at...
It was clearing spent cases (ironically... considering that was my initial issue) but would drop live rounds straight through the magwell. Ray at Zermatt ended up just sending a new extractor to try out and that fixed it. I still needed to adjust to feedlips so that the rounds would sit just a...
I got in touch with bighorn and they said that the adjusting the feedlips should solve the issue. I ordered that tool from MPA so am going to wait to get that in and then try to get things 100%
definitely not hitting the turret... it was pretty clear that the brass never left the port. I’m not seeing any brass marks on the turret either but will keep an eye on it
Appreciate all the help guys... that makes sense. What are y’all using to bend the feedlips. I couldn’t really get a good angle on them with players so ended up using a light hammer. It definitely improved function but I guess I’ll need to take them down a little further
It is a magnum bolt head. Disregard the whole running it slow thing then. Those that didn't clear the port (as pictured) happened when running the bolt full speed. I tried to run it with varying degrees of oomph just to see if there was a certain speed it liked and nothing worked.
I recently was able to take my Origin build out for the first time and had some trouble getting proper ejection. It is a 6.5PRC with PVA barrel. The rounds chamber perfectly and the rifle shoots well so no other issues other than the ejection. When using a 3 round Accurate Mag 300 WSM mag...
