300 Norma Mag
My barrel in 28”. I could’ve just got a softy? Who knows but it went from shooting tight little clovers to 3” at 100yds. First started seeing fliers and then all of the sudden it opened up. The earlier speeds were about 3050 with 230 ATips, 83.0 H1000, 9t Bartlien. Like i said it started to slow...- Rebelirons

I was careful not to put any fast shot strings on it. I shot N570 for the first 150 rounds along with some RL33. I bore scoped after N570 and clearly noticed the firecracking compared to H1000- Rebelirons

Kind of a random post but for those with barrel life questions, my 300 Norma barrel died this weekend. It was showing signs of death at about 750 rounds but confirmed dead right at 800. Pretty consistent with my load. Lapua brass/ 83.0 H1000/ 230 gn ATip or 230 gn Hybrid. Both around 2,950 fps...- Rebelirons

300 Norma Mag
Every time i used 570 with Norma brass the case would get stuck in the chamber. I thought it might be an extractor issue but it wasn’t. My numbers were way better and consistent with the Lapua. Again, I know others that have had luck with it. It just didn’t work well in my rifle. I did try it...- Rebelirons
