New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Hi guys, I'm in the market for a precision semi-auto AR and I've pretty much narrowed my choice down to a GAP-10. Here is my question, what barrel length did you choose and why? I'm also interested in what velocity you guys are seeing with 175gr bullets.
Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon
Jumpin in late but here are my thoughts. I owned a complete 11.5" POF P415 that was manufactured in 2010. The quality of the carbine was excellent but the reliability did not meet my expectations. It also did not like the weight or the tall rail. This...
Re: Noveske Rogue Hunter 18"?
As far as accuracy is concerned my teammate runs Noveske's 18" lightwieght in his 3-gun rifle and has seen no appreciable difference in accuarcy as far as 3-gun goes. We plan to do some testing with his 18" lightwieght and my 18 medium contour. If you want the...
Re: I can't decide on a damn chassis
Have you checked out the XLR carbon? I haven't handled one but they look great. I met the XLR owners at last years Oregon Sniper Challenge and they seem like a solid group of guys. You can't go wrong with either stock but XLR gets my vote.
Re: A serious caliber choice question!!....
A HUGE reason .308 is so popular is because the military uses it. And the military will continue to use it because of commonality. If a sniper runs out of M118LR he can just de-link some M80 ball ammo and stay in the fight. Of course now the Army is...
Re: Noveske barrel question
Standard Noveske stainless barrels are 4 groove 1/7 polygonal twist and come in lightwieght and medium contours. He also makes a 20" medium contour 3 groove stainless thats called the medium varmit. I run a 16 and an 18 and I love them. 77gr ammo will get you a...
Re: best southpaw AR?
I have two AXTS AX556 lowers and absolutely love them. They are the only TRUE ambi lower on the market. You can do everything from the left side that you can do from the right, plus the ADAC feature is awesome. Check out this video...
Re: Noveske 18" SPR
Do you reload? If so I'm getting excellent accuracy with this barrel pushing a Nosler 77gr custom comp on top of 23.6gr of Tac in a LC case loaded to mag length.

Re: A tac vest for carrying a pistol on the front?
The only advantage I see to a holster on your chest is drawing from a vehicle. If your holster is on your chest you will be laying on it when prone, it's likely to get caught on your sling, and it's just not a natural draw position. I'd look...
Re: Piston vs Gas...Better for suppressor use?
One more thing...this year at the Crimson Trace Midnight 3-gun match there were several stages that included sponsored stage guns, two of which were a FN SCAR 10.5" and a 10.5" PWS MK110, both full auto. The SCAR malfunctioned so many times they...
Re: Piston vs Gas...Better for suppressor use?
I previously owned a POF 11.5" that I purchased because I thought it would be the ultimate suppressed SBR. I don't think I put more than 1k rounds through it before selling it. I kept getting stuck cases, and even running the gas setting on...
Re: what 6.8 barrel
Another vote for Noveske. If your looking for superb accuracy while also maintaining absolute reliability look no further than Noveske.
