Cableas Sale on Federal Prem Gold Medal Match 168

Re: Cableas Sale on Federal Prem Gold Medal Match 168 Thanks for the tip...it does appear you have to buy 5 boxes to get the code to work just so everyone knows.

    Stock's and Drop Mag systems

Re: Stock's and Drop Mag systems This one will drop into a B & C without modification, at least it did for me. I did have to use the supplied spacer in between the bottom metal and the pillar to get the magazine to seat. That concerns me a little that it gives more of an opportunity for...

    DPMS Recon .308

Re: DPMS Recon .308 Thanks. I'm pretty pleased. I also debated a Sig 716, and a SCAR 17s, but both are more money (the SCAR was $3k locally) and I just couldn't justify them over this gun for $1400.

    36yd zero

Re: 36yd zero I recently figured this out myself as well that this is how the military usually zeroes rifles...makes sense, with iron sights, you won't be precise enough for zeroing at long distance I wouldn't think? I did a ballistic chart on a .308 and came up with roughly 35 yards for a...

    DPMS Recon .308

Re: DPMS Recon .308 I found one at the Cabela's down in Scarborough, ME. I was pretty shocked they had it as I had heard these were hard to get...actually they only had the .223 on the shelf, and the clerk was getting ready to fill out a "request" form for me, when he discovered they did in...

    DPMS Recon .308

Hi Guys, I just picked one of these up yesterday on a bit of an impulse. I have a Bushnell TRS-25 on it for now. I'd like to use it for home defense as well as for deer hunting "in the woods," which is mostly how the hunting is around my area. Not a lot of wide open space here. The P-mag...

    AX AICS

If I wanted to put my Remington 700 SPS Tactical into one of these chassis, what would I need besides the chassis itself? Right now I have a pretty basic set-up with a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15X with Weaver 6 hole "tactical style" rings. No base Any idea how heavy that combination would be?

    Installing sope base ?

Re: Installing sope base ? With the canted base your hope is that you will be zeroed at 200 yards or so near the bottom of your scope's adjustment range. So that you will be able to come up with almost all of it. This worked out pretty well for me with my 15 MOA base.

    XLR Chassis Stock

Re: XLR Chassis Stock Thinking about ordering one of these for my SPS Tactical. Probably the 12" handguard would suit my 20" barrel the best? I've looked through the thread and haven't had much luck finding a picture of a similar setup.

    installing a DBM questions

Re: installing a DBM questions I also have a Medalist stock, and am wondering what is the easiest DBM system to go with...and whether I should consider using a local smith to do it or just send my stock to Badger or whoever.
