New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
We just recently serviced a large number of the these for the Corps and I was surprised to see several of them with the Mk211 knob still on.
Most of their inventory have been converted to MTC but evidently not all.
This is news to me and after visiting the Euro Optic site is seems as if only the double turn in black has been discontinued. I'm waiting for confirmation on this from Germany and will pass on what I find out.
No sorry, not moving in to the old Premier building. Although purchasing it was considered we decided not to due to issues related to the building itself. The long term plan is having our own facility built and putting everything under one roof in the US.
In the interim we will lease a space...
Thanks, Winchester is a nice location. Considering I am currently driving an hour to work and that is about to be reduced to less than 10 minutes I have a feeling it is going to work out very well for me personally.
Just want everyone to know that we will be relocating the Schmidt Bender US service center from our current location in Ashburn, VA to Winchester, VA. As of yesterday, 17 September I have asked that all scopes be held and not shipped until further notice.
Tentatively, we intend to be set up...
Back on topic......
I had his scope here at the service center yesterday and as suspected, his parallax was slightly out of calibration. Once set properly he now has a crystal clear image from 10m to 2+ miles and dioption is dead on where it should be and the optic performs flawlessly as intended.
No worries, let me know if you have any issues or questions. And yes, it is an older Klassik model with the old style ocular head and insignia.
FYI, the knobs can be converted to 1/4 MOA if that would help out any.
First off, the scope is a Klassik and not a PMI. Not really sure where the whole PMI thing started but I'd love to see a picture of one. It sounds as if the elevation may be maxed out and that's why you're only getting partial rotation and the knob simply needs to be reset. Reticle is most...
I can tell you for sure that all Schmidt Bender scopes are assembled in Germany with the exception of the Hungary hunting line which of course is built in Hungary in our own facility under strict supervision by qualified German trained technicians.
Aside from the service center here in the US...
I've found it impossible to mount a 4-16 Klassik on a canted base over 10 MOA without bottoming out the erector due to its limited amount of travel. However, the 3-12 Zenith has a bit more travel (around 40 MOA) and I've only encountered problems when trying to mount these on a 20 MOA rail...
Yes, there is enough adjustment within the 3-12 Zentith to allow a 100 m zero on a 15 MOA rail. Bore sighting is always a good way to get on paper with a newly mounted scope when the erector position is unknown. Also, the posi-con knobs can be reset to the pointer indicator after you have...
I was out of town and was not given all of the correct info on this at the time and am just getting details on it after I read your post and started asking questions. A little disappointing would be an understatement.
Please contact me directly and we will get you straightened out.
It is nearly impossible to polish out a scratch on a coated lens without damaging or removing the coating. It is however possible to replace the damaged lens itself.
The only "fake" S&B's I have ever seen, which are limited to only two, are some closely copied versions of the 3-12x50 PM II. Although very close, the trained eye can distinguish many differences almost immediately. The nine digit serial number and poor anodizing was a dead giveaway to me as...
